I don’t think that women have an easier time dating. They have an easier time finding sex. In fact, one could argue that a woman has a harder time dating. In my opinion, a man who chooses to pursue a relationship rather than casual or early sex has an easier time finding a woman to commit, especially if he finds a woman whose hypergamous standards he fulfills at least somewhat.

I don’t necessarily believe women to have an easier time dating, rather they can easily get casual sex. Most men are fine with taking a girl on a date, provided it ends with a ONS or sex. But this is reserved for women who are at least average and men can be okay with being seen with them. That being said, commitment might be difficult if the women are punching way above their league, but Chad doesn’t mind taking a Becky on a date if it ends in sex and she’s overtly sexual on tinder.

For some women lower on the scale, the best they can get is a crappy one-liner from a dude more attractive or even the same level as them who is only intending to go over their place and fuck at 1am, and not go on a date or even grab a drink with them because they genuinely don’t want to be seen with them.

Women don’t have to do shit besides say “yes” when pursued - and I say this as a woman myself. Yeah, we have to work on being put together and have good character, but so do men. Everyone needs sufficient personal development proportional to their raw physical attractiveness in order to date successfully. For unattractive women, this may not be the case, but all men, whether attractive or unattractive, still need to put in more effort than >= avg attractive women, so as a whole men have to do more.

Increasingly, women are equipped with the means to be completely independent and I believe the lack of this very attractive (to some) alternative, combined with other societal structures, i.e. arranged marriages, strong(er) negative stigma associated with being a single or childless woman, was how lower value men were able to get wifed up in the past.

Women can generally 'play it safe' and be highly attractive to men for at least one point in their life. Young, no hoe phase, cute, kind, loyal = outstanding wife material.

Guys need to be winners... which means there has to be losers. That's the entire purpose of sexual reproduction, and since men don't nurse babies, it's where risk/reward has the most sensible evolutionary payoff.

Then again, technology has really shaken things up. So there's a lot of unprecedented challenges for both men and women as it crashes into biology.

It probably centers mostly around the fact that men have stronger sex drives. For this reason most cultures and societies are based around the fact that men approach women. Which means women usually have multiple suitors.

There's a catch of course. If you're not the one approaching you can only influence who approaches you. Some women do approach but a lot do not. If everyone who approaches you is not attractive to you, and you do not approach yourself you end up alone.

If a woman wants to go on a date, no criteria : she will find a date. The odds are good but the goods might be odd. In this sense women are dramatically advantaged. She will never have a dry spell that isn't almost entirely of her choosing.

Men, on the other hand, have the advantage of only going after women they want to. Very rarely does a man have to fight off unwanted approaches, which is something women envy. If a man is dating a woman she is likely his favorite woman whom he can get. Women might be dating their second or third, because their crush never showed interest.

I do not personally think that women have an easier time dating, they will just face different challenges. But I do not feel as if I need to provide reasoning for this above view as that would be fruitless because even if this was true the comparison is useless.

Assuming it is true that women have an “easier time dating”(which I do not think is the case), What relevance does men having an “easier time” dating really? I think this takes strictly a male-centric view on the issues of dating and the experience of dating to make any issues women have with dating trivial.

There are women who are like guys. But guys tend to have no respect for them. And guys then wonder why women don't respect them when they're thirsty. Plus women are raised by their parents to not give it away. And they're judged by their peers if they're not choosy. So irrespective of biology, there's a lot of pressure, influence, and behavioral rewards right there. It's a dynamic. As guys, if you want women to be different, you would need to raise your daughters differently, and not judge them for being sluts (slutwalk anyone?). There's a complex dynamic at work here, and it also has to do with how boys are raised as well, and what society values. And just like whack a mole, if society did radically change, you'd have to deal with a whole different set of injustices and issues. This is from the perspective of a male in his 60s who sits on the fence and considers that both feminists and red pillers have some legitmate problems as well as some bad faith actors.
