Every time the n-count preference discussion appears here, you see a wave of people calling these men hypocrites for having double-standards, but why is this so bad and why care?

If having double-standards is such an immoral thing, then a very large portion of women are immoral too. Women often desire providership in their mates that they do not have or offer themselves. Furthermore, most women I think, desire a man to protect her in ways she can not or refuses to do herself.

It seems that most people have double-standards and are hypocrites. A man desires femininity when he doesn't hold himself to the same standard. So are all double-standards bad? Or are there reasonable double-standards? What are you actually so mad about and why care?

Additionally, I see lots of "people should be free to pursue their preferences," but then in the next breath, they call those preferences immoral and those people shitty. Assuming you believe that people should act morally, then you aren't really of the belief that people should be free to pursue preferences or less that defeats the entire purpose of your belief in morality.

So why care? And why is it such a bad thing?
