Averages say nothing about distribution at the extremes—people often make this fallacy.

The "classic" example of this is that male and female IQ on average is not significantly different but 9/10 people with an IQ over 160 are male. But since only 0.01% of people has an IQ over 160 that doesn't really have any measurable impact on average.

There are also for instance some memory tests where females on average score better at than males but at the extremes the distribution is again very male-skewed with most of the absolute top performers being male even though on average females do better.

See the answers.There is a reason the manosphere use it as a example of 'overun by feminists' and 'manhatting' community. They seem to not understand our views. Probably because they are women and/or feminists.

Also, men are not prone asking anything. We just 'man up' and deal with suffering. We just are like that. Sometimes too much.

No. Because testosterone (more precisely, hormones made using testosterone) are what controls sex drive. That is why women with lower testosterone levels also experiment lower libido, and why women with higher levels experiment way higher libido. You see. Men have around 17-20x the level of these hormones. Take what you will, but this can only mean higher sex drives.

Ask any trans for a complete description. Most of the manosphere like to read how biological women almost lose their heads when they transition and lack sex. I find it quite reassuring when those trans finally understand our struggle, even when they never really get to our everyday sex hormone levels (it is impossible for the biological women body, they don't have the same production rate or gonads to create hormones that increase the sex hormones availability).

Men are more interested just because we cannot avoid it. Take a sleeping pill and try being awaken. You will hate every second you spend not sleeping. It's just one subreddit, it doesn't really reveal anything about the gender distribution, due to the group being self-selecting.

For example, it is a boring trope that women stop putting out after marriage. Everyone has heard these jokes. Therefore, while a man will be unhappy, he's less likely to think being unsatisfied in a relationship is notable or odd.

Women are more used to being desired, and if the man's libido drops for whatever reason (stress, poor diet, resentment, depression), the woman is more likely to see it as a notable problem. It isnt what's supposed to happen.

Ergo, she may be more likely to seek out a support group, particularly on an anonymous forum, free from shame.

What you can't get, you crave more. I think men and women may start off with the same sex drive, but women hold back more, making it harder for men, making men hornier and more desperate, this image became the standard.

Then when men are in an LTR with a HL woman and can get it every day if they want to, some men will come to find their libido isn't high at all. Maybe it's comparable to working at dunkin donuts and not craving sweets anymore.

Second, men stay attractive a bit longer then women in my opinion, not to th extent trp usually claims, but it differs a few years. And with pregnancy a women may loose her looks within a year, which may be hard on the man.

Then there's the fact women like to talk about their problems more, making the presence of a lot of woman on a relationship-difficulties sub explicable.

Men crave to spread their seed far and wide. I believe thats the base desire for all male lifeforms. They want to have as many offsprings as possible. Its a biological imperative. So they probably get bored after a while.

It could also be attributed to the monotony of modern life. People dont have to deal with unexpected disasters, (shortages in food supply, uncertainty of shelter safety) so generally speaking there isn't enough 'manly' stuff for men to do to get their testosterone going outside of exercise. Most people are city dwellers, the jobs we perform arent as labor intensive either.

Some combination of both of these factors + probably more stuff is probably why men stop engaging in sex after a while in a relationship.

It's not so much that men want sex more than women, but more like men want to have more frequent sex with a greater variety of wome, while women are more selective about who they have sex with.

Also you have to take into account the concept of sexual novelty, and this is something that affects men more than women. Having sex with the same woman over and over again will gradually reduce that mans interest in her. We're just wired that way in order to spread our seed as far as possible.

They don't have higher 'sex drives.' The sex drive is an antiquated concept. Men have more sensitive sexual excitation systems and women have more sensitive sexual inhibition systems. Similar, men overall are more spontaneous with sexual desire, whereas women are more responsive.

Typical scenario:

Husband spontaneously wants to have sex. Wife, whose only stimuli is her husband wanting to have sex and his advances, is not aroused. The wife might want to please husband and acquiesces to sex, but she's not all that into it so she just lays on her back. The difference is generally in how men and women are aroused.

This results in discordance. Satisfying sex is most likely to happen in a context where both parties are especially aroused and uninhibited.

The girl probably got fat and ugly with age. When my ex gf got fat, the sex became a chore I felt I just had to do, not because I wanted and I just made it end quickly, or I would say I was tired or depressed to make her leave me alone. She started to lose weight after I told her I wasn’t attracted to her anymore and she fixed her hormones, and the sex picked up.
