Agreed to a point, but if I were saying the same thing, I'd tweak the wording a bit to reflect the desire rather than the act.

Women do this funny thing where if they like a guy in an emotional-romantic sense and want to date him for real, they won't have sex with him too early even if they want to. In fact, they would have hooked up with him casually in a heartbeat if they didn't like him, but because they like him, they want to make sure he likes them back before having sex and getting hurt.

It's stupidly backward. Casual sex girls -deliberately- select guys they don't want to date (but are still very attracted to) for casual sex. Then, with a guy they actually want to date, they'll pretend they're not slutty and make him wait a few dates, even though he's actually attractive to them. You'd think somebody would be more eager and enthusiastic to have sex with someone she actually likes, but casual sex women don't work that way.

Which is stupid, because that means they start out treating attractive guys they want to date the exact same way they treat unattractive guys they're using for free drinks.

What are you talking about? I can determine mine by looking in a mirror and comparing myself to the cliche dudes that have a very high average rating. I look nothing like the almost-universally attractive celebrities. I know where I stand. And even if not, people treat you differently based on how you look, you don't have to have sex with them for that to be true.

Ever been on a dating site or anything? Try messaging women as an average to below average guy. I can plan on a 1/10 or so response rate.

Hard not to see this as another "but I have to have casual sex for reasons" post.

I beg to differ. You can tell if others find you attractive based on how they act around you. I.e. people flirting, acting nervous (the good kind not the creepy kind), or people giving you compliments. People can find you attractive and still not sleep with you. Bonus points if you're being paid to be a model. Literally making money off of your attractiveness.

idk why so many dudes here care so much about accurately determining their attractiveness/SMV. it's pointless to even worry about it. even if you could exactly determine that you are a 7.69/10 or whatever, that fact would have zero practical value.

There are lots of women who do not like casual sex though, so for them, I would not think this would be a good barometer of whether you are attractive to them.

I disagree.

As a man, I can gauge my attractiveness by how women react when I hit on them.

When I was more attractive, they loved it. Now, they just get uncomfortable. Ergo I'm less attractive now.

I think it's an excellent and most accurate way to determine your attractiveness but it is not the only way.

Women will try to poach you if you are in a relationship. That is a good alternative way to determine if you are attractive. If women attempt to poach you from your relationship, you are certainly determined to be an attractive male.

Women will do this by flirting and texting/DMing etc to test your boundaries and the strength of your current relationship.
