A while back, my feminist mom said in relation to some other conversation I wasn't really listening to, "Women are second-class citizens!"

I took a moment, thought about that statement for a moment, trying to give her the benefit of the doubt, before turning to her and saying, "Would you do me a favor? Go to Saudi Arabia and speak to some women there, and tell them you know exactly how they feel, because 'you're oppressed too,' and even though you have every single legal right men in your country have, you're a 'second-class citizen' like them. Would you do that for me?"

Her response was something about there being degrees of oppression, but my bullshit filter kicked in and I went back to ignoring her.
