1: Do women seek attention/validation more than men do? Why is that gendered?

This is common TRP advice:

Part of being a man is separating yourself (and your self-image) from external validation. Weak men seek external validation; real men seek their own counsel.

There's also a common TRP claim that "attention is a woman's drug," and that a man should always control the attention-supply in order to create attraction/investment from the woman; however, I don't know why this is gendered.

2: Do women crave looks-based validation more than men do? Why is that gendered?

There's a claim that women are socialized to tie their self-esteem to looks-based external validation, going right back to when they were little and Daddy came home and said, "How's my beautiful little princess?"

My little sister always invested a lot of time/money/effort into her looks growing up and sought that validation; my parents reinforced that; she was thrilled when she got that validation.

However, I'm not sure how gendered it is, because I got some of that too growing up and I loved it too. My parents reinforced it in my case too. It was the same story for me for the most part.

3: Are women more emotionally fragile than men? Why is that gendered?

The idea is that women are generally more emotionally fragile, and that this manifests in various ways, including in the fact that women will not approach men because they're so scared of rejection. Meanwhile, men tend to be stronger emotionally, and therefore men tend to approach (and risk rejection).
