That girl is either:

1) Low-enough value (looks and personality) that she isn't good enough for an LTR - period

OR

2) Enough value for an LTR, but shooting way too high (expecting a male with too many looks, smarts/status and personality "haves" to commit to her) - potentially also just above her "league"

Based on this post I can already jump to some conclusions about her lackluster personality. Stop bitching and keep looking.

I'm not sure you should be putting what is a private post of your friend on public display.

But, if I were to analyse, she sounds genuinely confused. It totally goes against what RP claims - that a pretty young woman in her prime will have legions of men at her call and that young women live in some kind of blissful bubble.

It doesn't sound like she's sleeping with these tinder guys - and therefore, they have no interest in her. These guys are out looking for the low-hanging fruit, which she doesn't seem to be. She's looking for a quality relationship.

She might not be smart enough to capture the attention of guys who like a smart girl - and despite what trp claims, men love a pretty woman who is very intelligent. TRP can claim what they like - but I've seen the switch in interest too many times for it not to be real. She might also give off 'clingy' vibes, which will also send men running.

All in all, can't comment further, as it's just one facebook comment.

This is the 26 year old women's pre-wall experience.

People who had always lived with a constant ebb and flow of single people of the opposite sex in their surroundings often find it very hard to adjust.

All I take away from that is that she is not socially apt enough to be hanging out with people who are genuine. She has probably engulfed herself in networks of people that are trashy.

That is all I take away from this. I don't know why people would look at this and think the main point of this diatribe is the generalization about all men. Anyone should be attuned enough to know that that is simply an understandable obfuscation stemming from a deeper problem, which is that she is hanging out with the wrong people. I would call her out on that; instead of focusing on the dumb things she says, focus on why she is saying it.

It sounds like she'd struggling against the windmills of the The Dating Apocalypse. Women have relinquished all the power they had in the dating world and must now weather the slings and arrows of outrageous men, who can have everything they want without compromising on the things they don't want. The strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must.

Aaaanyway, I guess my main thought on this is a kinda of shrug. Like, it sounds like this woman is venting/maybe had a bad date the previous night/is frustrated. It also sounds like this woman is basic. It's an insult but really, the vast majority of people are basic and she's probably dealing with her male equivalents (basic dudes), too.

She also sounds like she's a bit of a pain in the ass. People, men and women, are often pains in the ass in gendered ways. And one of the ways women can be pains in the ass is by being all super-focused on relationships way too soon, expecting too much too soon, being needy etc. Something she's doing is making it so these dudes she's dating feel OK to treat her as less than a magical princess. You say she's pretty. How pretty? And is this a small town this social group exists in (cuz that matters, I think)?

I think her girl game probably sucks. In fact I'd put $ on her girl game sucking, because posting something like this is terrible girl game.

Last point is actually an interesting one - I see so many men here who seem to think all human females are these all-powerful magical beings who can manipulate any man into doing anything for them because pussy. I think you need to be smoking hot for that. Not just 'small town pretty' but smoking, car-crash hot af. There are so many 'small town pretty' girls out there who have terrible girl game and who could be doing so much better with men if they were being coached the way some of the RP guys gets coached.

That's all I need to see. There are some whip smart people who become hair dressers (anyone involved in Intercoiffure has to be smarter than your average office worker), but as someone who sees more than 100 of them a week for work ... Your average hair dresser is pretty, artsy, and borderline crazy.

In other words, most hair dressers are Man Catnip when they're younger - when you guys are going for the BPD hot chicks - but there comes a point where men aren't interested in the emotional roller coaster anymore.

Not knowing your friend, I would guess this might be a factor. I know a lot of really nice, gorgeous hair stylists who can't seem to land a man for longer than 3 months, and don't understand why.

Maybe it's not a question of gender, but more a question about culture. People are becoming more and more isolated thanks to technology, which allows us to fire our dopamine systems artificially at home while creating an illusion of being social through social media (but at the same time not creating any meaningful relationships).

However, at the same time this I also believe this is in part thanks to sexual liberalisation. Men by nature aren't as drawn to a single mate as women are. Generally speaking, there's a reason men who don't get a lot of action fall in love easily compared to more sexually active men - and it's because the less attractive men have fewer options.

More conservative societies get around this problem by promoting monogamy while still allowing the choice of sexual partners, leading men to improve their finances and work on their personality in order to attract a woman to marry. Women who are looking short-term aren't attracted to gentlemen, they're attracted to bad boys who can give them a good time. Society is breeding a bunch of guys who are either total pussies because they can't get laid otherwise or "bad boys" (aka "fuckboys").

The men who she is attracted to are out of her league, or else they would want to commit. A guy who only wants to pump and dump her is likely far out of her league, while a guy who is willing to do FWB but not fully commit is slightly out of her league. If she lowered her standards, she could easily find a guy who would commit, but I doubt that she wants to do this, so instead she complains on Facebook.
