Do RP'ers who have moderate/liberal political views exist in substantial numbers?

I think most of them are liberals actually. They seem to generally support liberal social values and where their thoughts diverge it's usually motivated, imo, by bitterness towards women.

I know some exist, but I've always assumed it would make up less than 25% of the RP-base.

I also tend to agree we're a minority (I'm a liberal RP guy). 25% of the userbase would strike me as right.

However, I think it's an open question whether RP views of sexual strategy/relations cause this... Or whether this is an artefact of the polarisation of the online community where particular views are assigned to a "side" and its relatively rare to find cross-overs where a liberal/left-winger or a conservative/right-winger also adopts a non-political view generally "assigned" to the other side.

So.... I don't think NASCAR is right wing.... or period dramas are left wing.... But I'd expect to see people of those views clustering on either side of that divide in much the same way as the political left wing clusters with BP and the right wing with RP sexual views.

Left0Wingers going with RP have to make a choice to "go against" the bulk of their "blue tribe" on the basis that they think RP is correct, and they're prepared to disagree with their tribes peers in a way that right-wingers don't have to do in order to identify as RP.

If you are RP and/or liberal, do you try to separate politics and the issues with how the genders/society interact?

Not really, I'm of the view that the left-wing absolutely has the right objectives for politics. I do think they've lost their way somewhat on their view of human nature. They seem to fall prey to the thought process...

"It would be easy to reach left-wing objectives if people were blank slates. So, therfore, we'll assume people are blank slates to make reaching our objectives easier".

In doing so they picked the wrong horse for this race. They did so a long time back in the mists of time (late 19thC/early 20thC) when both options ("Noble Savage/Blank Slate" & "Red in Tooth and Claw/Natural Human Nature") were really both possible based on knowledge at the time.

As the 20thC progressed, and increasingly post the 60's/70's it became clear that scientifically... they were largely wrong.

They needed to switch horses, but didn't.

I don't think (as some on the right do) that being left-wing is incompatible with evolved human nature and genetic differences by sex/race.... I think it makes left-wing objectives harder to acheive, and will require different policies to get there. But it's up to the left to tailor their methods to the real reality, and they can do so without compromise to their objectives.

One of the reasons I am anti-feminist is they seem to have consciously decided not to do this and doubled-down on blank slateism at a time when a lot of the rest of the left was starting to accomodate to the actual contours of reality.

No, fundamentally politics is utterly dependent on how humans really do interact and the "rules" (for want of a better term) of how this works. "rules" that we're increasingly discovering are genetically set as much as, probably more than, they are culturally determined.

Any successful politics/policies must work with the grain of human nature.

BUT I do believe it's possible to work with that grain and still acheive most objectives the left-wing wish to achieve. Thats just not going to be as easy as they thought it would be when they thought they could mold the "perfect soviet man" from unformed clay.

The 20thC is a history that shows left-wing objectives can be achieved and benefit the human race, and that was done with human nature as it really was.

What could have been avoided is a lot of the disasters on that path caused by the left wing IF there was a proper left-wing understanding of human nature at the outset.

Wheras I believe the disasters caused by the right-wing were caused by them actually acheiving the objectives they sought.

My usual formulation is the lefts heart is in the right place, but their views on human nature have caused them to be fuckwits.... whilst the right wing understand human nature, but are assholes.

And in my view it's easier to get the left to stop being fuckwits than it is to get the right to stop being assholes.

I'm reddish purple and my politics are social democracy. I don't feel like I have to "separate" these things, they were never connected

Personally, I like the cosmopolitanism and more collective, inclusive mindset of the liberals. I grew up working class and pro-labor, and I value diversity (I'm not white). I don't even mind paying higher taxes if the overall quality of life is higher with regard to services offered. My political goal is mainly to create an advanced, peaceful, diverse civil society.

But man... young liberals, students, and SJW's have completely hijacked the left, and it feels like there's no room for normal families anymore.

I'm red-leaning (SMV, evo psych stuff), and I'm a libertarian with socially liberal values, but I oppose the use of government/bureaucracy to enforce them. For example, I use people's preferred pronouns, but I oppose any regulation on pronoun use. (I don't think as a cis-gender man I have the right to compel people to use masculine pronouns either.)

Yup. Im not a socialist anymore, but I certainly support my lgbt etc friends on their paths. I dont tell them im "red pill", because of stigma. But these friends watched me branch swing and held me through so many breakups. They view my decision to go into gender rolls as an adult decision, that's making me happy.

I lean more red than I don't and I'm more liberal/left than I'm not.

I don't see them as intertwined issues, more that I agree with more centre-left views than I disagree with them. If the centre-left stopped advocating for "BP" beliefs, it wouldn't change my vote, and if the centre-right start advocating in a stronger way for "BP" beliefs, it also wouldn't change my vote.

FWIW. Voted Hillary, don't hate planned parenthood, don't hate increasing taxes a bit to pay so more can get healthcare, etc.

I do dislike when people think we NEED 50/50 ratios everywhere, and people who think that men without good careers have the same access to a healthy social and sex life as women do. Basically I'm for most left leaning things other than the fact that the left is way more likely to say dumb shit like "everything is a social construct", "once women have the good jobs they will marry men who make less than them", and shit like that.

I was politically liberal for most of my life although now that I'm no longer a spry young kiddo, my political leanings are swaying more towards those like Ben Shapiro and far away from leftism, which liberals are becoming synonymous with.

They aren't mutually exclusive ideas, so it's not hard at all. Men are better than women at nearly everything, so of course they should have equal rights. It's this equal outcome bullshit that drives me nuts.
