I see endless talk from BP men and women, especially those that label themselves as feminists about how a woman has the right to do what she wants to do with her own body. No matter what she does she should not be "shamed" for. They assert that women should be able to make their own decisions.

But then, if a woman makes a decision to be a nude model, cam girl, sugar baby escort or do another job within the sex industry she is told she is a victim and suddenly, her actions are solely the result of the "patriarchy" and she needs to be forced to make different choices in her life. But if it is truly her body, her life, her decisions, shouldn't her decision to become a nude model, cam girl, stripper or escort be respected? Why is it that if a woman makes the decision to do something like this, it is always and completely the fault of some man? Do women have the right to decide to do, sexually, what they want with their own body or not?

I am 100% against any kind of abuse of women. Human trafficking is evil and I reject it completely. But having said that, when you look at all sex workers in the developed world, from strippers, to porn stars, to sugar babies, to cam girls, to escorts, to all of the other jobs in the sex industry, the vast majority of the girls are involved in this industry because they decided to do this. So why does the BP blame men collectively for the decisions of a relatively small percentage of women? Do women have the right to do what they want with their own bodies or don't they?

In case you are wondering, I know two porn stars and a few strippers, and not only were they not forced into this career, they know of nobody else in their profession that was forced to do this either. They like their jobs and if they didn't, they would just quit. I don't care what they do for a living, I truly believe it is their choice, but I can't help but call out the hypocrisy of the BP in regards to sex work.

From a religious perspective, I personally wouldn't get involved in sex work and it is against my personal religious beliefs. But we don't live in a religious dictatorship, not everyone is Christian and I have no desire to force, anyone to live their lives in a manner I approve of. I believe that people have the right to live their lives in a manner they see fit, assuming they aren't harming anyone else.
