Is there a sub where we respect neither sex, and don't care about either's rights? That's what I want. I guess that's this sub really.

So far it only got interest in /r/MensRights

And it will only get interest from Men's Rights. Feminists do not give a shit about equality - they want power and control. That's it.

Regular men and women don't care, and probably aren't on this or any related sub anyway.

Don't see it happening. The men and women here at PPD often disagree and often have a hard time seeing one another's perspective, and often just think the other person is wrong which is to be expected. So, I don't see how inventing another sub is going to reverse that trend.

I personally think ideas like this are good. It's a shame that people can't behave respectfully.

Also, this is probably the worst place to advertise mutual gender respect, as RPers are hugely emotionally invested in the idea that they're somehow getting fucked over by women. And the RP board is practically characterised by abuse. Some of them have become so embroiled in it that they literally don't recognise what the term 'abusive' means.

So they're just not going to be receptive to the idea.

You're taking a vaguely radical, edgy viewpoint and watering it down with pc inclusion to make it boring and non provocative. This is exactly what the establishment wants to do with anything new and interesting like libertarianism, just slide in and ruin it into a non interesting nothingness

Have you posted about this in /r/AskFeminists yet? You'd need to phrase it in terms of a question though like "How can I ensure this new subreddit fulfills it's primary purpose of promoting mutual gender respect?"

I know you've already tried your luck at /r/TwoXChromosones and /r/Women. I'm sorry your experiences there were so unproductive.

I like /r/AskFeminists because, even though they are explicitly feminist and therefore also (generally speaking) explicitly anti-MRA, they're also self-selecting to hang out on a sub answering questions posed by outsiders. It's where I used to hang out myself prior to discovering the wonders of PPD. People there seemed more likely to respond critically than they were to blanket down-vote things they disagreed with. Obviously, the PPD is even better in this respect but we have specific rules against down-voting.

Anyway, if you do decide to give /r/AskFeminists a try, could you PM me or respond to this comment with a link? I'd like to see how it goes for you.

Any neutral gender issues forum will become an MRA forum by default.

Feminists won't participate unless it is explicitly pro feminist and bans MRAs on sight.

And people outside these two groups largely don't care.

People are motivated to join in the Gender War for selfish reasons. The reason Feminism and Men's Rights are popular is that a lot of people feel like they're being shafted. They get angry and protest about it. Feminism has the added bonus of being an opportunity to get laid, but the movements are basically motivated by anger.

There just aren't that many people who are going to be motivated by taking action on behalf of both genders. There's no incentive for them. You're fighting a losing battle.

You kind of don't understand the basic concept of politically correct ideology if you talk of "both genders".

A core part of the modern ideology is that there are infinite genders.

There are two biological sexes plus a tiny group (much fewer than one in a thousand) of people with chromosomal abnormalities, of which 4 distinct types exist.

Feels a little too "all lives matter" to me. The differences between men and women is recorded historically with a severe skew toward men as privileged.

Of course we all want human beings to be respected. But de-politicizing the gender disparity isn't my thing. May not be others' thing either. But perhaps some will enjoy it.
