It's in correlation to each other. If i'm in law school and she's working FT supporting us, I'd expect to bear the vast brunt of the housework. If she wants to quit her job and my income is the only one for the household, I'd expect her to handle housework. If we both work FT but I make $120,000 and she makes $40,000, I'd expect her to handle about 75% of the day to day chores.

Ideally I'd marry another nurse with similar views on lifestyles in general. She'd be in the 60-100k range and work 2-3 days per week, leaving plenty of time for us to do chores to a reasonable degree, and also take care of kids together, stay physically fit and maybe some hobbies.

No idea if I'll be able to make this happen IRL but I wouldn't be down for marriage and kids if I think I'll get stuck on a treadmill.

No money, I make plenty to provide on my own. For housework, just clean up after herself if she works, and try to keep the place mostly tidy and try taking care of errands like groceries if she stays at home.

Housework has always been the woman's domain. I didn't make that rule. Society did. I do not do housework if there is a woman in the house. Having said that, I have had a housekeeper for the past 15 years, so any woman that has lived with me has never had to do any housework.

But I always make it very clear that if for any reason I cannot keep a housekeeper, housework is her domain.

As far as a job, she can work if she wants to. But is not expected to pay for anything. Again, leaving that completely up to her.

If I need to do housework, I can, I am not above doing it, and know how to cook and clean and wash and iron and sew. But if I have to do that, then having a woman at home is useless to me.

I don't expect her to make any amount of money, and I don't expect her to do a certain amount of housework.

We've had several different forms of mutually agreeable arrangements when it comes to finances and housework, and for the most part we never actually sat down and discussed them. We just fell into patterns that worked based on the circumstances at the time.

As little as possible. Women who make less money and don't have other forms of financial support (i.e. government aid or well-to-do parents) are generally nicer, cause hypergamy.
