There's this dude on my Facebook who would post shit like "Je suis Charlie = #WhiteLivesMatter" and "That scientist's shirt was sexist! Talk about holding back women in science!" and dumb shit like that. Total mangina, only followed him because he's in the same university program. Because of what he usually posts, whenever he hates something, I often look it up with the mindset of "it can't be that bad, he's just a huge pussy".

One day he posts a rant about how awful it was that TRP was subreddit of the day because it's the most evil place in the universe and whatever. I check it out on the day they block any posts except for the ones on self-improvement and the really 'light' stuff about women.

Without the blatant disrespect for Facebook guy's dumbass opinions and the TRP subreddit lowering its power levels that weekend, I might have been scared off. Now I'm 4 months in and I can almost squat 2 plates.

I guess I could mention that I suppose I never had an anger phase. Never came here hurt by a woman or anything. I was a virgin but not because women didn't show interest or hated me, but because I was a pussy who couldn't close out the deal. I've got friends with somewhat RP attitudes and the IDGAF and non-pedestalization stuff was already somewhat ingrained in me.

In an all-women Facebook group from my home state. Someone was talking about how she found out her "boyfriend" was actually part of a PUA group and someone mentioned TRP. I googled it, came across the subreddit, actually read the sidebar and then found my way over to RPW.

Someone linked it in a discussion about sexbots elsewhere on reddit. I thought it was a tech subreddit named after the matrix movies.

Turned out it was something way better, it saved my marriage and made life a lot more fun.

The Red Pill sub on the other hand was like some autistic fraternity. I thought it was a troll group initially. When I realized everyone was being serious, I was very interested in delving into their minds as much as I could.

I originally was interested in atheism because I found religion not to make sense. Eventually, I realized many atheists are very liberal and had replaced theism with the BP cult of collectivism. I didn't care about religion and what that meant for women morally speaking, but everywhere I turned there were retarded liberals and feminists. Because of that I eventually found men's rights which was refreshing because it was anti-feminist even though it was collectivist. Eventually, I found RP through MRA which was even better because it was anti-collectivist. RP has the secular beliefs, while BP is still more of a religion and cult-like. It's just annoying that RP on Reddit is about self-help and all that crap now.

If I ever get spare time I like to boardgame. On the boardgame subreddit there was a thread about donating to a fund to give money to female game designers. I thought it was stupid(if you have a good idea kickstarter will provide all you need). A bunch of white knights gave me shit for my comment, one of them suggesting I am/should be on TRP(which led to PPD.) I had heard about it before but never pursued until then.

Oddly enough, I eventually found myself agreeing with most of it and something clicked. My sex life skyrocketed and I've sworn off 3rd wave feminiam ever since.

I was doing a study on combined oral contraceptives, and I wanted to see what was going on in the news. That led me to anti-abortion organizations...from there I think I stumbled onto 'Breitbart.' From Breitbart, at the time, Elliot Rogers had just murdered innocent people and left his fucked up dairy of an entitled asshole. That led to PUA and 4chan. From PUA and 4chan went to ROK, and at the time 'manboobz' which is now 'wehuntedthemammoth'...and then I found reddit MRA...to TRP to TBP to PPD.

I really wish I could just erase that time in my life when I looked into the news about combined oral contraceptives. I was blissfully unaware the fucking shit some women were going through.

Pre-combined oral contraceptive discovery, I had never thought about feminism or identified as one.

I was browsing some movie forums on the IMDb when I noticed another poster's signature linking to a site for men who were tired of dating American women and wanted to meet women from overseas. I had no real interest in dating foreign women, but I did find some of the points made about Western women and feminism rather interesting. There were others posting to those forums which mentioned Red Pill, MGTOW, MRA, along with links which eventually brought me here.

I first heard red pill being mentioned in a non-matrix context in 4chan's /pol/. It was used to describe some of their many conspiracy theories about how 9/11 was an inside job by the Jews, how women, minorities and homosexuals were destroying America. Being "red pilled" was to wake up and see the liberals for the liars they are. It was much later before I saw it on reddit in the context of people not getting laid.

I was pretty active in the meta subreddits when TRP was created. Before that we were all laughing at seddit, then some of them broke off and started The Red Pill. I thought the Matrix references were ridiculous so I paid attention, found TBP, ect. I've been here since the beginning. It's been a hell of a ride and it's been interesting to watch TRP change over the years.

Someone linked TRP saying how bad it was. I suspect many find it like this.

At the time it only had about 1000 subscribers and I kept tabs on it because it was a new quickly growing community that sounded interesting. I've always been all about anti-SJW stuff too which right from the beginning this clearly was.

Didn't take more than a few months for the growing sentiment on the sub to become full of extreme clickbait-tier content and I lost interest after that until I found PPD which I just find an interesting place to discuss otherwise invisible social dynamics.

My first boyfriend showed it to me because he liked seeing me riled up. I forgot about it, then like two weeks later I was personally affected by the Elliot Rodger shooting and found myself back researching incels and PUAs, which are only ever a link away from TRP.
