Why is there a perceived correlation between partying and sleeping around? I've seen that here and in TRP for years now.

You may find parties intimidating, but when you go inside you'll realize that the majority of people there will leave with the friends they arrived with.

Yeah I'd believe it. Some people have 1 boyfriend for a really long time. I've known girls that dated the same guy from when they were 17 to when they were 27.

Some women have low sex drives, sexual dysfunction, sexual hang-ups, that lower the amount of sex and sex partners they'll have. Others are currently or formerly religiously devout and that's had an influence. Some are in the closet lesbians and thus never had any desire to drive them to sleeping with multiple dudes.

There's a lot of factors at work, and some women are even virgins at 28.

Yes, I would believe it. I know a fair amount of people in their mid-twenties who have only slept with one person. They could either be in or have just gotten out of a long term relationship. A lot of coupled up women wear short dresses and go dancing. Not everyone in the club is looking to pick up. Especially if they're with a big group of girlfriends.

Under these particular circumstances as set out in the OP, no, I wouldn't believe it, for obvious reasons.

No, I would not believe any nonreligious woman who is 28 and says she slept with only one man. First of all, everyone lies. Everyone lies especially about their sex lives. Everyone lies doubly especially in face to face conversations in which their sex lives are a topic.

Second, at least 85% of all women aren't virgins. Third, sex is much, much more available to women than it is to men. Any woman at or above a 4 in attractiveness can get sex pretty much any time she wants to, anywhere.

The most relevant detail by a mile is that her friends can barely believe her story. These people have known her for a decent amount of time, have been out with her before, and are at least broadly familiar with her recent relationship history. If they're shocked that she claims to have had only one partner, it's because that number doesn't jive with everything else they've seen out of her. They're paying attention to her actions, not her words, and when the two are incongruent the former is more reliable than the latter.
