Sex yes, relationships no. Most women don't get the same level of satisfaction out of solely having sex with a stranger that most men do, so a woman who is just being used for sex and can't find a relationship will feel just as bad and lonely as a man who can't get sex at all.

Sex/a relationship with someone who you are utterly not attracted to in the slightest is just as bad for being alone for a lot of women. Men are more able to enjoy sex with someone they aren't really attracted to. For women, sex with someone they aren't attracted to is pointless, lacking in pleasure, and sometimes painful. I don't think a lot of men really get that that for women, "bad sex" is just as bad or sometimes worse than "no sex".

Therefore, if you can't get a man you're attracted to, you might as well just have a bunch of friends and masturbate when you're alone because the sex you can get won't be any good. Especially if you're looking for commitment first and not a one night stand. Sex is not always better than no sex.

Whether women are too picky or entitled or whatever is a moot point: at the end of the day, women can't force themselves to enjoy sex with a man they aren't attracted to, so they'll never be satisfied with "but you can get SOME sex, at least!"

/r/foreveralone is full of men who are in absolute agony about social isolation. Many don't even have friends. /r/foreveralonewomen is full of girls who are sad they can't get the guys they want.

I've never been to those forums before. Just went and read through quite a few posts in each.

Oh man, was that all so sad. I wanna hug all of them.

But what you said isn't true at all. Many of the women seem to have psychological damage from not feeling 'feminine' and 'attractive enough' - and that feeling is with them constantly. In the men's forum, I saw men say they wished a woman who they'd fallen for would fall for them.

The men sound like really nice people who deserve loving relationships. The way they talk about life and women is kind of beautiful in places - and makes you hope they'll find what they're looking for. That post where the guy had sex for the first time and pretended to switch off his emotions and said that he felt hollow afterward - so depressing.

The women don't sound entitled in the least - just sad and lonely and in despair.

I know what it's like to be alone. Being in the closet and living in a conservative area when I was a kid was lonely as hell. For the longest time I thought I was the only one and would stay the only one.

I actually used to agree with this. But now I've met some FA type women, and they don't seem any less soul-crushingly lonely than FA men do. There are fewer of them for sure, but I don't think the few there are are any less lonely than the men.

Going by statistics canada suicide data from 2012, the average suicide rate for men in their 20's is 18.1 per 100,000. For women its 5.3. For men in their 40's its 24.85 and for women 8.0. Now yea, men are still killing themselves over three times as often in their 40, but look at % increase over the 20's number. For men thats a 37% increase, for women its a 51% increase. Now there are a lot of factors that go into suicide, but I think its fair to say based on this data that women become unhappier as they age at a faster rate than men do. Once their tits start sagging and no amount of makeup can conceal their trainwreck of a face after a few decades of hedonism, they become unhappy.

You can be lonely in the midst of a group of people or within a relationship.

Being lonely does not require physical isolation, so OP is incorrect.

There are rich guys who have people hanging around them all the time, lots of 'friends,' women fawning over them, etc. who still feel depressingly lonely, and a guy who's a broke, socially inept virgin would look at him and say he could never be lonely. You're making the same kind of comparison here.

There's a big difference between being alone and being lonely. Loneliness is a feeling of not being able to really connect with and relate to others, whether that's inadequacy about physically being alone or disappointment from being too different from your peers. What many so-called redpill redditors don't seem to get is that getting sex, in and of itself, won't make you less lonely. It'll feel great for a while, but it becomes boring when you realize how easy it is to push people's buttons. Look it up, it's easy enough to find guys who've mastered game and learned to get women really easily, only to then find that they still feel empty, possibly even more than before. Sex is great fun but it's not necessarily emotionally fulfilling, and you can't look to others to fill a void in your own self.

As such, women obviously can feel just as lonely as men, albeit likely under different circumstances.

For every man complaining about not being able to get sex, there's a woman combining about not being able to get a relationship.

You would think they would get together and cut a deal. But each often has trouble trusting the other to provide them with what they need. Some of the women will hold back on sex out of fear that the men will leave them after obtaining sex from them.

And the men who run into that will often conclude that these women are incapable of having sex, and so they wind up giving up on them, which confirms in the women's minds that the men really were just out for sex. So they'll resolve to wait even longer with the next one just to make sure he's not only after sex, and that guy will give up on her too, confirming her fears again.

So a large number of these lonely women are trapped in endless loops like that. And a lot of men are stuck in a similar loop thinking no woman would want them because the one or two times they tried, they got shot down. So, they assume that those two women speak for all women.

Threads like this always leave me scratching my head because there seems to be an assumption shared by people of nearly every perspective: that men are universally Sybian machines willing to stick their penis in anybody willing, at any time.

Since I lost my virginity, there were exactly two points when I was an incel (went longer than six months without sex). The first time I was in military training and focused on that. The second time, I wasn't willing to have sex without a relationship -- I got plenty of opportunity. I'm a man.

So, what? Are I and most of the men I've known abnormal or are sex-starved men and virgins assuming that because they'd trade anything to bone, every man must feel that way? Do so many women really assume that just any guy is willing to stick it in them just because they have something to stick it in? That's arrogant as hell, and I wouldn't want to sleep with any woman who sees me that way nor associate with any man who expects me to behave that way.

I'm a man. Not a damned animal. I have needs beyond mating, in addition to emotions, thoughts, preferences, and something called self-control. Get some dignity, men! This bullshit is why so many feminists feel justified to stereotype us all as dogs.

As for OP's view, women come in all varieties, just like men. Some women can not be lonely on the same level some men can, and some will always be lonely no matter what configuration their life is in. People are all different, and seeking stereotypes to simplify your world will only set you up to be wrong. It's easier in Western society for women to find sex, but that isn't something to cure loneliness -- it's something to cure horny. And it's only that way because our society has trained men that it's not only okay for us to conduct ourselves like animals, but we're expected to, so some men throw themselves at everything with a hole, a segment of those who don't like to pretend that they do, and most of the remaining men keep quiet. Frankly, it's disgusting.

This is why, for example, many men are too lazy to get out there and meet single women, so they throw themselves at any women who will speak to them. That crap makes you at best a device for washing out a twat. Women know that they're people, and want to be treated as such. That's why random sex doesn't satisfy them. Men should have more self-esteem and be the same way. You're people, damn it. You deserve better than you think.
