I think women like men who look MATURE, as in manly, masculine look. however some people misinterpret this as 'older men'. guys like women who like youthful, thats all it really is

Not sure where you found the claim that RPers think that men are most attractive in their 30's and 40's, do you have a source?

Most psychologists agree that the AVERAGE man has the highest mate value (as they call it) in his mid thirties (I'm looking for a source, but I know I've read it before several times).

What this means is that your average guy is going to have the most options in his life in his mid thirties, similarly to how the average woman has the most options in her early twenties. Options in this case isn't specific on short term mating (hook ups) or long term mating.

Your bodybuilder 24 year old is not an average guy. He is the top 20% of men that the majority of women are attracted to, and mostly for short term mating (unless he has long term mating qualities as well). Your average dude in his lower-mid twenties has low mate value, that only goes up as he ages.

In the world of The Red Pill, status is what defines a man's attraction. To put it simply, a guy in their 30s or 40s are attractive because they've had the time they need to actually make something of themselves and build their life. These days, you don't expect too many guys in their young 20s to have a steady income, nice material possessions, worldly experiences, and the demeanor to handle himself in social situations. A guy in their 30s or 40s is more likely to have those things.

If you think it has to do with "men age like fine wine, women age like milk", remember that most guys correlate "men aging like fine wine" to looking like George Clooney. That shit ain't happening for 90% of males in the middle and old ages so just get that out of your head, everybody.

Don't tell me why you think men SHOULD be found more attractive in those ages, show me that they are.

Haven't even looked for stats because I have no faith at all in the social sciences however to get to the point I think the argument for 30s and 40s men is just a coincidence of when they've had enough time to become reasonably mature on average, have a better grasp of social dynamics than most do in their 20s and late teens, and have reached the point where they are no longer students but reasonably situated in a real career. Remember that while much of male attraction for men is based on appearance female attraction is comprised of more facets with more nuances.

And evolutionarily speaking why would women find men in their 30s and 40s most attractive? Back in the day the strong, young, fit 27 year old guy was a far better hunter than the aging 37 year old man.

When RP says you can continue to get young women into your 30s and 40s it means as long as you lift, work hard on your career/social skills etc, being generous that's 10% of population that does that, so the statistics of the whole population means nothing and it would be pretty hard to objectively measure. In your evopsych example it would be someone with a respected position due to hard/smart work, gaining respect and making connections when he was younger, not someone who was once great at hunting with no long term plan.

Even then to the non-delusional it doesn't meant the girl won't find younger successful people who do the same thing more attractive, just that more money and status are more important to women than they are for men, so you can still attract at least some young women regularly.

Most people post based off personal experience. I've dated several younger girls in my early 30s before I settled down with a girl 5 years younger.

I doubt it was my age, I've just always stayed in good shape. I even asked one girl that was 10 years younger why she didn't want a guy her own age. Her response? They are all fat.

From my own experience and from my own observations of life, I find that this tends to be true (at least the 30s part).

I can't show stats. I don't feel compelled to show stats. It's something that, if a guy friend asked me, or I was talking to my son, I would probably say, "yeah, don't worry - you can still be considered attractive to younger women as you get older if you take care of yourself well. Look at me, for example..."

As with many things Red Pill, if you don't find that advice useful, don't take it. If it doesn't work in your world, you're under no obligation to operate with that impression. Do what works.

(of course, I have no idea how "once you hit your 30s/40s, you're fucked when it comes to dating younger women" is useful, either, but whatever...)

I would back up my advice by saying that women, as a whole, seem to be far less concerned with perfect physical features and far more concerned with qualities like having your shit together, having a sophisticated outlook on life, how you carry yourself and conduct yourself and your affairs, how responsible you are, how well you care for them, how interesting and exciting you are, etc. A lot of those qualities tend to come more naturally with age, so if you are able to keep up on your physical appearance at the same time, you will find yourself in a good position, attractiveness-wise, when you get older.

It worked for me, for the most part - it could probably work for other guys, too...

But to address the overall concern, "Red Pill" advice often operates, for me, like the woman advice you get from your older male family members or the advice you get from your guy friends when you are all out drinking beers together and discussing women.

A lot of that advice comes from "Well, here's what I've noticed..." or "Here's what worked for me..."

If you're the guy who keeps stopping the conversation to ask for empirical evidence for whatever experience they are sharing, you're going to be considered an obstinate prick and probably won't get invited out for beers again the next time...

It's not that men are most attractive at that age at all. It is that the relative attractiveness to women shifts at around 30-35. The idea is that your average girl 18-29 is more attractive than their corresponding male version, but from 30-40 the average man is more attractive than his corresponding female version. Everyone is pretty much ugly by their 60s and 70s.

They aren't most attractive in their 30s and 40s. They just age better on average than women. Womens' attractiveness comes from primarly her looks, while mens' attractiveness is more diversified.

Why are you so convinced that stats matter? After 30, I've dated and hooked up with 22-26 year olds exclusively (well almost...there were those 2 PhD's, and my current LTR) . Why do I need stats?

I agree with another poster.

Women like men who have a mature and put together look. If you're 18 and can pull this off (some do), more power to that man.

For example Liam Hemsworth is 25. Tyga is 25.

One of those men looks like a grown man (Liam) and the other looks like a high schooler (Tyga).

They're both cute, but one looks like my bad little brother.

However I can't promise that Liam Hemsworth will look as great at 35 as he does now.

The only people who seem to be aging backwards (outside of black celebrities) are Gwen Stefani and Jared Leto lol.

They're not more attractive, but they can still be attractive despite their age. A man's attractiveness is based less on his looks than women's and more on his personality, status and worth. Men of age usually have more depth to their character and have more interesting things to say. Not to mention they usually have more accomplishments and money. Things that are attractive to any human being when looking for a partner.

I once saw a 50+ year old dude pick up a pretty young girl in broad daylight. Me and my buddy couldn't believe what we were seeing and spent 30 minutes just watching them hit it off.

Men are most attractive when they have power, status, and confidence. Whatever age that is for them.
