TRP: the best thing about it is the education on disguised manipulation tactics that women use on partners. This is the kind of stuff men don't get taught inside the mainstream box. Also, it is very valuable for men to decouple their self worth from their partner, which is another black art these days.

TBP: If mutual respect is actually there, BP relationships are more fulfilling. The worst part about RP is how it undermines the belief in the existence of respect for men, which results in becoming distrustful of women, which results in the kind of drama filled relationships RPers claim all relationships to be. It's a system set up to generate its own confirmations.

In my opinion the best thing about the red pill is the self improvement aspect. Working out, developing a hobby you love, making an effort to be informed and educated are all things that will make your life richer.

The best part about TRP is that it encourages members to actually have confidence and to just go for it. It may not always do this in the best way (belittling others to boost yourself isn't a solid foundation of self-esteem), and it may not always teach you how to best handle negative results like rejection (it seems to feed the bitterness), but for people who are desperate for sex or a partner, that is easily the main issue and I have seen TRP help with that by stressing the importance of not sitting around and waiting for something to happen.

TRP: realism. Partners don't just fall into your arms, and relationships don't work just because you have good intentions.

TBP: the stress on seeing men and women as people and equals, who don't have radically different ways of thinking and acting. I want to treat my partner as a person, not as some psychologically distinct creature that I'm playing games with. I would rather not be with them at all, than do that.

I have to admit I've had quite a few laughs reading TBP when they are ACTUALLY doing satire and parody. They can be very funny

I'm neither but occasionally post to TRP am relatively new. I also read TBP as well but agree with that much less. TBP takes itself less seriously and is I think funnier.

I don't agree with all of the TRP. I don't like the political angle but am closer to it than feminism and both TRP and TBP suffer from Maslow's hammer.

It's like philosophy. I can take away things from both Ernst Junger and Bertrand Russel (fuck that sounded fedora like). If you aren't a dogmatist you can appreciate uncomfortable realizations from places that you don't agree with a hundred percent.

Where I disagree with TRP is mostly less about what they say about women. More that men are selfless, don't rationalize etc...men and women are different but everyone hamsters (why can't we all just say cognitive dissonance). I guess I'm more an old fashioned misanthrope. Also that there are equal partnerships, but I think they are more rare and the truth is not everyone wants or is best suited for them.

We're all animals and barely contained savages who are forced to act civil and indoctrinated to believe we are.

Generalizations are useful models. Not all women, men people are X but there are traits most have and it's probably grounded greatly in biology.

As a guy looking for advice related to emotionally detached sex it is pretty good. I don't want a partner, companion etc... anything other than a good time.

Some things I have read are really insightful an ah that's why to something I've noticed. I also am pretty pro traditional gender roles in what I prefer to be personally around so TRP there isn't bad though I actually hold pride in what they call disposabiliy, I think of it as more honor and courage.

It's frankness is refreshing. You don't get honest raw opinions on the internet as much. It's becoming close to regular media. The self improvement angle is also positive. Hit the gym, study, get better body language, don't fall for BS.

The best thing about being red pill, in my eyes, would be the idea of being non-conformist. I don't agree with the execution (because the sub does generally turn into something conformist), but those that turn to TRP in order to further themselves, independent of the groupthink, are individuals that I respect. Of course, you can be non-conformist as a blue piller (lord knows I am), but TRP is antithetical to mainstream society in a lot of ways.

Edit: I will say this, as appalled as I am by TRP at times, there are some individuals whom I have a healthy respect for, and it isn't easy to earn that from me.

My overall take on the pillz.

TBP: It claims for a relationship to have a future, it should be based on trust. I completely agree with this. But this leads to a question. What is this all important trust (where decision will be made in the best interest of the relationship and communication will be method of expressing thoughts and desires rather than a means of playing mind-games) based on?

TRP: Trust is based on the past. Its standard procedure for colleges to look at high school grades before granting someone admission and companies to look at someone's employment history before hiring them. the same goes with women and relationships. Don't be shamed into ignoring a women's sexual past in determining what she will do in the future.

The blue pill: I'd say it allows women to get out of the box they're in and they have an opportunity to be all they can be and have fuller human experience.

The red pill: Regarding the above, even though women can, 90% don't/won't/can't for some goddamn reason and if you "wake up" you'll see that. All of the old rules before the 1960's still apply, and that's the best part - there is a system. It might not make you feel happy or politically correct or spiritually liberated, but it is what it is. What are you gonna do, shout at the Universe?

The greater potential for happiness when everything works out great.

TBP facilitates embracing the idea of true love, and it also facilitates scarcity mentality, which makes it a lot easier to appreciate a partner. If both partners have a mutual oneitis (but aren't co-dependant about it), they can have a pretty harmonious and loving relationship.

TRP on the other hand is better suited for relationships that are at least to some degree adverserial.

I don't think society could exist without both red and blue pill values.

Blue pill focuses on empathy, caring, idealism, understanding, self sacrifice, respect for others, honesty, etc. Humanity could not function if everyone abandoned these values. They are currently too dominant, though, creating an unhealthy environment of political correctness, thought policing, erosion of individual rights in favor of the collective need, and so on.

Red pill focuses on striving for success, realism, competition, self sufficiency, self respect, responsibility, work ethic. These values have fallen out of vogue in recent decades compared to the primacy they held throughout much of human history, but they're just as necessary for a vital society.

Balance in all things.

Ugh, OK. I sort of like the free-thinking aspect. I find it in many ways both misguided and immoral but it is at some level good if some people just don't believe everything they hear and question things. Unfortunately, often exactly those things get questioned that in themselves are questionings of some stuff that is not good in how society runs. But whatever.

Also... I don't know if you just talk about living healthy or really do it, but coming from a family which was one huge fest of cigarettes, beer and fried stuff, and it killed dad at 63, I sort of respect people who do not need these things to cope with life and they can live on meat, vegs, water and deadlifts. If it is true, I mean, and not just posturing.

Best thing about TBP is that they have a pretty good "we're totes not serious" circlejerk that rivals SRS's machination. At least it actually does attempt to go for humor often unlike the latter.

The blue pill itself (as defined by red pill)? A small dose of blue pill in moderation is good for society, since pretty lies help society function.

If you're talking about TBP, not really much good about them. Some of their satire threads are funny.
