Not at all. I've met people with RP-like ideas, but I've never met anyone irl who has seriously read TRP.

I get a message once in a blue moon shaming me or expressing disappointment. I used to get a bit annoyed...

but after the whole unidan incident I wasted almost an hour exploring various meta reddits out of curiousity and realized how fucking crazy and dramatic so many redditors can be over internet comments. Now I feel fortunate over how sane bpers/rpers are relatively speaking.

Makes me sad and frustrated sometimes. But then other times it makes me laugh, so in terms of direct effects I'd say it's pretty much a wash

Well, for one, I consider the word "misogynistic" almost meaningless at this point - it basically means, "I don't agree with you," or "I'm offended." These days I don't care at all whether something is misogynistic/offensive or not - I just care whether it is right or wrong.

TRP/MRA/MGTOW has definitely made me more self-centered and Machiavellian in my outlook on life. I've become very suspicious of anyone telling me what the "right thing to do" is because society once told me that I should be the nice guy and always consider a woman's feelings/welfare above my own - which worked out very poorly for me. Feminism in particular, which has been shoved down my throat since I was a kid, has turned out to be one big lie after another. Life improved for me dramatically once I rejected feminism/blue pill thinking and started embracing more TRP/MGTOW principles.

These days, when I feel like society is trying to tell me what the right thing is to do, I reactively question the motivations behind the message and ask: who exactly is benefiting from this and what's in it for me? Am I just being treated as part of that disposable male army, ready to be sacrificed for the good of society or for someone else's gain? Is someone just feeding me lies and bullshit again for their purposes?

One might consider some or all of this as "negative".

It directly draws an arbitrary lines between people and keeps them divided. The most ridiculous thing to me about the Red Pill is that if you mention race or anything that really shows who or what a person is then you get banned. The RedPill is just like a little boys club for guys who are in their 20's+ who still think like a teenager. It just does such a good job of having a water-downed version of anything useful to men. It perpetuates so much negative habits. I just don't understand why it's not been taken down. They might as well all be klansmen/klanswomen.

Also, reading anti-woman rants, as a woman, is mentally draining. It's what I imagine, what a guy would feel reading feminist rants.

As I explained in another thread, my former best friend became a narcissistic, abusive, hypermasculine caricature of himself and ended up hitting and cheating on his girlfriend, as well as manipulating and becoming physically aggressive with his friends and family because of how he interpreted TRP's message. No matter what people say about the core ideas of redpill, someone I was very close to ended up physically and/or emotionally hurting everyone in my social circle in the name of TRP, even if it isn't the intention to encourage this behavior.

I appreciate the perspective. I feel like I've heard stories of this kind of uneasiness from female friends of mine... It's at least quite different that women are generally afraid to walk home alone at night, and men generally aren't... Depending on the area. Can I ask how you feel about that?

You might not consider the effect direct, but I don't really see why that's relevant.

TRP affects me in that it makes men act like assholes, which makes men look like assholes, which means that my effort to convince people I'm not is an uphill battle.

Now, unlike the character in the above poem, I do not intend to oust you from your home. But like him, I'm sorry that the order of things is now in a state where I'm the type of thing that can and often does.

TRP focuses on maintaining relationships that aren't meant to last in the first place.

I don't know about you guys, but I'd rather just hangout with my friends, be single, and go on crazy adventures than have to use tactics to keep a woman in check to make sure she still loves me. If a woman starts treating me like a doormat, I'll gladly leave.

She can go ahead and be hypergamous as she wants and live the rest of her miserable life in a mansion with some rich asshole, spoiled kids, and go on all the vacations to the carribean that she wants! If I don't have kids or ever get married, I'm sure I'll run into her because I'll have plenty of money for myself to live life as just one big vacation.

There are two main ways TRP has a negative impact on me.

A) The Haters - are basically feminist white knight bullies, the oppressors and the naive. It's not enough that they disagree or dislike the truth being out there, it's that they need to try and censor and shame it. Thus, if I point out something that relates to what TRP taught me, I am welcomed with animosity.

B) The Truth sucks. Ignorance is bliss. But I can't go back now and I don't want to.

In the end, both issues will result in opportunities. They also turn into positives if you want them too.
