Why do you post to TRP/TBP/PPD?

I'm a very happy person. I learned a lot about women and relationships in my early 20's from hanging out on the, now obsolete, MASF forums (the first online pick-up community). I owe a lot to those guys. I'm poly, and I have a serious girlfriend who I live with, a wonderful "secondary" girlfriend, and a FB who I see about once a week. I'm completely honest about my lifestyle to everybody and there's surprisingly little drama in my love life. I'm living the dream.

My participation in TRP is mostly to pay it forward. I learned a lot from my time participating on the pick-up community forums and from my real world experiences. I post to share that knowledge, because TRP guys need some more positive influences (i.e. I don't advocate slut-shaming or any of that nonsense). I just try and these guys to channel their anger into something productive (i.e. like lifting weights, improving themselves, etc). I also try and give them a realistic understanding of dating and long-term relationships, so that they don't get so badly burnt in the future.

Furthermore, my "primary" girlfriend knows of my participation in TRP and wouldn't be offended/angered if she read any of the advice I've been giving.

I make fun of both TRP and radfems, mostly on /r/tumblrinaction, just because they're so funny. Return of Kings especially always guarantees a good giggle.

I come on here because I find it very interesting. I find people and psychology in general fascinating, mostly because we know so little about it and no one really knows why we do what we do, we can only really guess.

Gender relations in particular is a hot button topic right now and questioning feminism seems to be a big no-no. On the other hand, the popular opposition are too often red pill types and they're just lunes. So to come to a place where a lot of people of different opinions - feminist, red pill, and anything in between ("purple pill" I guess) - debate these issues is interesting to me because you don't get to do it much without being accused of being some type of sexist or beta depending on the group you're talking with.

PPD only for me :)

I find debate stimulating and I think I have a good-enough level of knowledge on the subject to contribute. I originally got into gender issues through reading r/mensrights and r/twoxchromosomes side by side (mostly for the lulz), but eventually shit got realer and I started to engage in a more serious way. I work with disadvantaged guys so men's issues are of special interest to me.

As for TRP specifically, there is definitely some element of entertainment for me in browsing their content. Some of it's funny (in a schadenfreude kind of way), some of it's sad and some of it makes me legitimately angry. It's tipped me further towards the feminist side of things than I've ever ventured before, and I'm actually kind of grateful for that. I am still learning to balance levity/seriousness for the sake of my own well-being.

The TRP family of subs is basically the only safe haven where things such as sexual strategy and gender dynamics from a male perspective in a way that isn't gussied up or watered down for fear of offending "womyn" or the P.C. police. I also think it's good for young men all over the globe to find male camaraderie. I also want to help grow RP to a point where men start standing up for themselves a bit more, and start calling out the excesses of feminism and other culturally marxist drivel.

I post here because I can see what I think a lot of people are starting to see - feminism is dieing. I really think something that resembles the basic ideas of The Red Pill is going to replace it in the coming decades. The evidence is just too compelling. But The Red Pill is such a work in progress. It needs to stop being a circle jerk and learn how to answer challenges. The only way to do that is debate.

So thanks for helpin' out, blue pill. : )

I have issues with both subreddits.

I'd prefer more actual discourse in The Bill Pill. Nothing is ever solved by just saying something else is shitty. You can make fun of a theory you don't like, I suppose that's fine, but without offering an alternative you just turn into a troll. There is a reason many men flock to The Red Pill. They are trying to take charge of their dating lives, among other things. If you don't offer a working alternative, then it's likely they'll only become more staunch in their opinions and more prejudice in their rhetoric. This is a natural reaction to being attacked.

The Red Pill offers much helpful advice, in my opinion, though it often has to be dissected from fallacious prose. Sometimes this is necessary when someone is venting; it's understandable. But The Red Pill theory is starting to become The Red Pill dogma. This is unfortunate because, like I said, there are some helpful ideas for men and dating. But the way that it is framed is often off putting, generalized, and fallacious. When you cut away meaningful discourse because too many people are put off, you start to decline into a circlejerk. Advice begins losing quality when the only people left agree with most everything that is posted, instead of discussing ideas. Theory's are meant to evolve and change. Dogma always stays the same.

The Purple Pill, I've found, is the best place for actual discourse on these topics so far. I prefer here to the other two subreddits, but there is much less content.

I post in TRP because it represents a strong masculine identity in a time where it's becoming rarer and rarer. It's more than pick up, it's more than working out, it's irreligious. It's all about living up to your potential and getting what you want. And third wave feminism is all about destroying gender identities wholesale, which I think is disastrous, and must be pushed back against.

I dont post that much to TRP itself. There are basically two reasons to post, 1) to contribute valuable knowledge or insight so we can refine our strategies and theories, 2) to post examples of those strats and theories in action. 1 is important to help everyone improve, 2 is important particularly to newer members for a variety of reasons, to just help you get stoked or stay focused, or to give examples that will resemble people's RL experiences and help them understand what's actually driving the behaviors they witness. 2 is already being adequately covered by other posters, 1 requires a certain level of authority which I don't feel I've yet earned (but may in the future).

I post to TPP because debate is useful and fun and it beats sitting around in our respective subreddits bashing each other from afar. I dont know if we're necessarily changing hearts and minds in here but I think we're creating a more healthy discourse and interchange that may eventually become the future of TRP. Right now the place is still pretty rough around the edges, unrefined, angry... but as "unplugged" members turn into veterans more at ease with their new perspective on life, the overall tone will shift away from anger and scorn at betas/fems/whoever and more towards simple self improvement, strategy and healthy virile masculinity, with some elements of anti feminist/anti PC politics and ideas sprinkled in. And TPP will probably play a role in that.

I think the dynamics of gender discussion are really interesting, and it happens to converge on a lot of my other interests - statistics, evo bio, evo psych, game theory, etc. It's also - frankly - helped me work out a lot of my issues as a person, and improved my life in a few ways. I also have a strong attraction to weird ideas for some reason.

I post to TBP because it's the only easy way for me to process the emotions I feel because of TRP. I only think of it when I log on, so I'm sure I could rid myself of thoughts of it by deleting TBP from my subscriptions, but then I'd see it through mentions on the site -- so I use TBP as a means of expressing my disgust through mockery.

I have a new found interest in female - male relationships brought about by my latest LTR ending and most of my friends being in less then happy marriages. My philosophy is contrary to both TRP and TBP. But such beliefs are quite fuzzy in my head until I have to write them down.
