As an American guy in his mid-30s, it is crazy how women in their 30s here have such inflated SMVs. This one girl I was chatting with is 34 and looks every day of it and then some (I honestly wasn't sure if her Facebook profile was lying about her age). Not grossly overweight or anything, but not much going on. She's not even well-educated or successful. She whines that she wants a tall guy with a hot body, great style and he has to be a powerful executive type.

I was just getting a kick out of it and was egging her on to give me more details. He can't be much older than her, which is fine because we all know that a successful guy in his 30's wants nothing more than a washed-up 30-something frumpy old bag instead of the hot barista or college-age girl.

The only thing a woman like that has going for her is her relatively young age compared to old guys (say, 55+). What's so weird is that girls like this are very aggressively looking for a man to marry, but completely oblivious to the fact that the years have stripped them of their SMV. Meanwhile I'll be hitting my prime in a few years.
