I'm more intelligent than my boyfriend. I went to university, he didn't. I think in critical, abstract ways, he tends to remember facts. I tend to be more vocal and opinionated, he keeps it to himself. He is aware of this and told me yesterday that sometimes he doesn't say his opinion for fear of looking stupid (with me). I definitely win debates with him.

Now dont get me wrong, he is quite capable in other ways. He earns a lot of money a year in business sales (like, quarter of a million dollars per year). I will likely never earn this much, even though I'm more educated.

The conversations I crave... I dont really get from him often. He tries really hard but I think our brains are wired differently.

He is very emotionally aware and empathetic. Good at practical things. For example, he can buy a BBQ set and assemble it from scratch.

He owns his own house and takes care of it. Something a lot of men dont do these days.

I have a history of dating men who are brainy like me...Your professors and doctors and finance guys and the like. They were deficient in other ways though, mainly in empathy and emotional intelligence.

I have realised that highly intellectual men tend to be assholes. Women can be super intelligent but retain their empathy. Men tend to have one or the other.

Is it worth pursuing an intellectual equal and losing out in other ways... And does it make me a pickmeisha that I'm the smarter one?
