Growing up I honestly really liked Beyoncé’s music, songs like “If I were a boy” really rang something within me and her no bullshit attitude towards men and being a powerful women was something I admired.

I never listened to lemonade but basically the album was created about Jay Z cheating on her. Now this could be all a huge publicity stunt to make money but at the same time I don’t know if it would be worth it considering that a lot of women feel the same way I do, that her reputation took a hit by staying with someone that could do that to you. I feel like it’s disappointing when you have this powerful women role model who succumbs to a man who can’t even be faithful to her. And his excuse was in my opinion very lame

“You have to survive. So you go into survival mode, and when you go into survival mode what happen? You shut down all emotions. So even with women, you gonna shut down emotionally, so you can’t connect … And then all the things happen from there: infidelity.”

Basically he was blaming the way he was raised, and while there’s no doubt a huge role of your childhood that determines your personality I find it hard that he had to continue being in “survivor mode” when he turned into a multi millionaire, and I highly doubt his “survivor mode” affected his love for his mother or father for example but somehow it affects him with women 🤔 right. Also within this statement he basically just admitted he never had a true emotional bond with Beyoncé because of his “survivor mode” from the start, which seems highly sketch to me.

So my question is, why would someone like Beyoncé, who never appeared as a pickmeisha decide to put herself in a position like that? Her net worth is insane, and she could probably have any man sweeping her off her feet if she had decided to leave Jay Z.

I just don’t get it...?

I’m thankful that this shows no matter how amazing you are it doesn’t determine how a man treats you, but I can’t help feeling a bit disappointed at the same time.
