It's one thing to enjoy quality time playing video games. I actually enjoy watching my friends play games even if I'm not playing (depending on the game, usually scary ones). But this post feels too much like she's trying to convince HERSELF she's happy with this arrangement. If this is something you are actual content with and think is normal and acceptable, why would you even think to post about it?

Personally, I would never date someone that dedicated more than 4 hours or so a week TOPS to gaming. I don't really like it as a hobby for a partner. I find that the gaming culture most of the time is mysoginistic and has lots of issues within.

My ex lied to me about spending time and money playing videogames (among other lies), which to me was unacceptable and he ended up telling me "I never accepted him, wanted him to change and never listened to his needs". Lmao, sorry for stating limits and expressing what I wanted or didn't want in a partner, I guess? I never even told him to quit playing or anything, but the man loved to play the victim.

TL;DR I don't date gamers.

So he comes home everyday and just plays video games all day errday, and she's okay with waiting around and getting scraps of attention? I mean that's what it sounds like. I can't imagine the bar being so low that you're just glad he's home 😑

I mean, I get it. I've been an avid gamer since I was in my early teens, and when I have time, I still enjoy a good video game session. My brother and boyfriend love their games as well, but the difference is, they both do it when I or brother's girlfriend are busy/unavailable, or when they've done everything they needed to.

This kinda used to be me. We used to play together though but we always fought and butt heads on who would lead. Then it got to me trying to hang with me to go for a walk or watch Netflix. Then it got to me contemplating on dumping him so I could go get sex because I'm not a cheater and things were lacking in that department. Then we signed a lease together and he came out gay 2 months after the lease was signed.

"I'm greatly appreciated that he comes home"? First of all, what? But really, it's like those women who get into those one sided poly relationships. They're pathetic, but at least they admit it. This is the same but lying. Telling a man you really love how he doesn't cheat is just telling him he can cheat on you and you'll stay.
