I had a honey do list on my fridge. Years went by and not a single one got done unless I either nagged for months until it turned into a big fight with him storming away to go do it, or I just did it myself.

Just today a woman was telling me her husband recently retired. Even though they both worked all their lives, she also did everything around the house. She told her husband that now that he was retired, he had to help out with chores. He said ok, then asked what exactly she wanted him to do. She was exasperated and said, "Cook! Clean! Do anything!" He still does nothing unless she specifically tells him to, and he does it badly.

Also, my mom once told me she told my dad to do laundry. He went down to the laundry room, came right back up and asked, "Which one is the washing machine?"

A grown man being a part of a roster that teaches living skills to infant children should surely be a sign to him that it’s time to grow up. Of course not though, why would he bother when mommy-bangmaid is on the job! 💪

I use one for myself. I downloaded one that splits all the chores into daily task lists. It just makes it easier. I have it taped to the fridge.

That's the thing. I shouldn't have to delegate. If men are so ViSuAl, then they can see that the dishes need washing, the laundry hamper is full, the toys are strewn all of the living room. There's this misconception that men are "mess blind". Funny how not blind they are when ogling a woman that they have to scan around to rubberneck at. If you've got to nag, don't nag. Dump his ass instead. Best case scenario, he'll help for about a week then revert.

I'm all for chore charts because I like clear expectations. The guy had to actually follow it though... If he doesn't you just feel like his mom. :(
