You have to remember that a lot of posters do not take this place seriously as a sub for exploring the truth in good faith. Many are here for the lulz. Their desire is to blow off steam trolling and arguing with the other team, who they already know is wrong.

I’d say the biggest problem here is people are too emotionally offended by things that don’t effect them. Like if a guy wants to lift, and work on himself (RedPill) he should be able to. I’d a girl wants to be a queen and single till she’s 35 and settles for someone who she doesn’t love (FDS) she can do that. There is no one size fits all strategy

The reason for the issues you are observing though is any form of "truth" in dating or sex is extremely vulnerable to personal bias. Dating and sex largely occur in private spaces, they are experiences shared by individuals. No one has definitive evidence of other people's (meaning not yourself and not people you date) dating and sexual experiences.

So for example, if you tell women from poorer countries like Cambodia only love western men for their money, I have no reason to believe you because I have never seen that be the case. Rather, this idea that one type of relationship is highly conditional where a relationship in the west has no conditions has no bearing of evidence from my experience.

Exactly my observation. Most posts are just generalizations such as all men are x or all women are x. Both sides have some valid points but they’re not going to get anywhere without more constructive argumentation. Y’all need to go read Aristotles Rhetoric or something.

Why I don't use "proper college debate rules at PPD". Let me count the ways.

When I ask for sources; OP goes to google and does search and posts top three results. Usually they are from the Guardian or Psychology Today or some women's magazine.

When I provide sources, or refer to studies, they always say the same thing: "Those are not peer reviewed." and "Those have been debunked." at which point I would waste further time by saying "Okay, point me to the peer reviewed study that debunks the first study..." and on it goes.

What works really well is using the feminist playbook when debating. Strawmen, Apex Fallacy, moving goalposts, faulty logic (A = B here, but A =/= B over there), the "lived experience" defence... shameless use of projections. No True Scotsman. WAW effect, Halo effect... the list goes on.

It's kinda sad but hey. "They do it too." Good enough for me. It's not like I am filling mass graves with these thought processes - I'm just arguing with people on the internet.

People who happen to be *wrong* mind you, hahahaha.

The biggest problem is that people havn't even glanced over the RP sidebar. I have not read it all properly. But I know that some of the retarded points being bought up on here, are not what is being said.

The arguments are bad because people either don't understand the topic well enough, or they aren't really capable of understanding for one reason or another. Maybe they lack perspective, or maybe they lack brain cells. Who knows.

I don't disagree. I try and back my arguments with real* evidence, but, there's a lot of stuff here that isn't researched.

More than anything, people want to posit universals, and I think that's because we're pitting two extremes against each other. On the one hand, you have TRP who really wants to posit universals about women. Those universals are not correct; it's not clear if it's even the majority.

The other hand has the reactionary blue pill SJW types. They want to posit another set universals (ever heard the phrase 'men are trash'?).

I would wager that there are reasonable people out there who never arrive here, because they've never even heard of the red pill in dating contexts.

I'm honestly unsure anyone walks away from this sub convinced of anything, and I think many people believe they are here 'fighting the good fight'.

*Real: Published science, though I'll usually reference an article talking about the conclusions.

I dunno. I came to this forum expect to be disabused of RP notions. I had seen a lot of their video's on youtube (apparently listening to Karen Straughan and The Prim Reaper gets RP on your recommended list). I generally disagreed with them on many points, though not all, and thought, lets see the other side.

Well... I was in for a surprise. FDS, blue, pink, and other feminist forums are all rife with man hating and an endless stream of baseless attacks and accusations.

So maybe there's a middle ground... hey purple pill and it's a debate one at that!!

Yeah... same BPs spouting the same nonsense, same logical fallacies, etc... I'm not RP, but the BPs are just right insane. Sure there are a few RP idiot incels... but the vast majority make sound arguments even if I don't agree with them. The BPs I have yet to see a single one that actually engages in debate, doesn't resort to logical fallacies at every turn, and will actually admit they are wrong when presented with evidence.

I don't know how you could possible compare the two sides.

Women are not here to really debate and listen to other people, most of them come on here and spout some shit they read off of a red pill article or something they heard over YouTube about the manosphere and think they know everything. Nothing ever gets settled because they always double down on their arguments even though they have been numerously debunked some many times, like the n count argument for example.
