For sure it definitely is harder for white people and asians to get work. If you’re not a minority sexually or in skin tone or heritage, soon enough you might as well start thinking of starting your own company.

Currently that is my problem, I am doing a start up just to actually have a chance in the world as I will not be able to work for most companies due to their virtue signaling, which is deeply upsetting but hopefully in the future it pans out for me and my current struggle will bring me success in my own life through hard work, long nights and the slow but sure crawl of the business.

If a company wants to compete with other companies it should invest in qualified personnel and therefore look to meritocracy. If you start choosing people based on gender or ethnicity and not meritocracy, you can be sure other companies will get better and better as the company in question sinks into oblivion.

I can't imagine what will happen in a country where the majority ethnic group can no longer find work and are openly demonized on every social media platform. Gee it's so hard to see. Most of these jobs are fake bullshit paper pushing jobs created especially for them, to "balance" the gender ratio and it takes away from investment in quality. Eventually the company will hit a pothole and crash. Of course, that's great news for all those startups.

I faced this back in 2014. I was referred by my friend to a company(fortune 500). It was for developer/programming role. They took my interview and writtens and whole process took one week and it went really well for me. Later in the day the manager called and said that 'I can leave for the day' and they will contact me in future if there's any new opening.

I was really looking forward for this job and now I failed. I started to assess my skills and called my friend just to know what went wrong in the interview. After talking to the interviewer my friend told me that the team leader wanted more females in his team that's why he didn't take you and that's the only reason. "Then why the fuck they wasted my time"?. I scored 97% in writtens and 95% in interview. I didn't understand this that time because I was less aware of the whole racism, sexism etc keywords and I never thought something like this would happen to me. Now when I'm fully aware of all these, that incident really makes me to break some jaws.

As a stereotypical white 6.3ft guy I want to chip in here. Let me state that I have friends of all races and colors and couldn't give a damn about anyone's skin color. However, I can FULLY attest to the fact that because society has deemed men like me to be privileged I have always found myself at the BOTTOM of applications because in my sector there is huge and irrational skewness towards hiring minorities and women. That also goes fo any government grants. I once dated a turkish girl and she got a $50K government grant to start a business in painting fabrics because she was 1) turkish and 2) a girl. That was it. And just for the record I basically grew up in poverty. This has been a driving force for me to go more into the entrepreneurial route because despite qualifications I would never even get a talk at most companies I applied to only to see them hire women who obviously did not have the proper qualifications and track record.
