Because nobody can imagine a world where anything related to women doesn't automatically benefit men. Women representing more than half of humanity is not enough when men simply don't see us as humans.
The benefits they may reap from feminism MUST be considerably greater than their given benefits from patriarchy, or it simply isn't worth the hassle. Why fix something that isn't broken in their book?
The libfem agenda is working out great for them! "50/50", "sex positivity", "empowering sex work", literally all the libfem bs "wins" have to be put in quotes with a tragic "lol" behind.

It's shocking how much they genuinely hate women just for being women. I mean.... White men in America granted black men the right to vote before they allowed white women to vote. So many white men online whine about other races being subhuman, just remember everything scornful thing they say, it's applied to you but worse. Even if you're the same race as them, they hate you just because you're a woman. I think they legitimately see "races" as groups of men (who they can either like or hate) while seeing all women as a collective of walking vaginas.

I think misogyny is similar to racism in that men feel inferior to other men (because remember, everything is about “alphas” and “betas” with them), so they have to convince themselves that they’re superior to women just to make it through the day.

I used to think that but I don't know anymore. I listen to how they talk about other races and it's different from how they talk about women. They see other races as having motives and tendencies, even if they themselves hate them. They talk about women like they are objects, with no thoughts or motivations. If racists see themselves as the alphas, other races are the betas, then women are the meat they're consuming and fighting over.

Whenever they try to sterilize people from certain groups it's always women targeted and not men. They even worry about the fertility of male animals and make such a big deal about neutering them but you never hear them worry for their female pets.

very much appreciate this observation. i think the ruling class of white men in America were cool extending the right to vote to black men bc they figured they could count on black men to side with white men over black women, thereby keeping existing hegemonic structures intact.
in other words, they were counting on all men having a stake in keeping women subordinate bc it gives them power within their own family structure, even when they dont have power in society.
marx/engles wrote about how the nuclear family hierarchy serves as the perfect indoctrination tool for capitalist hierarchy, thereby assuring the reproduction of capitalist society.

this is why intersectional feminism is important. they don’t see all women as a collective, if that were the case then why would white women be allowed to vote before black, asian, and native women? woc have to deal with racism and sexism simultaneously, one doesn’t cancel out the other.

Men are dealing with the pandemic so poorly that there's a new article every day about how their unmanaged depressions are crushing their families.
Men and boys are so emotional and disruptive that women and girls do markedly better if we're allowed to attend school or work in a male-free environment.
For fuck's sake, look at the last year of American politics and tell me men are the less emotional sex?

Yes that's what I mean. Men know they don't care about their feelings being suppressed (they really aren't, just their violence is being suppressed).
They just do not listen at all. I know so many women in my life who were sexually abused, but when I discussed how common it is with a LVM, he was far more concerned with the idea of himself being falsely accused.

So true! Men don’t want to clean their own house, cook their own food, raise their own kids, create their own shopping lists and then shop, etc. They want sex whenever they want it, they want it to be purely for their own benefit and so many want control over her reproductive system through limiting abortion and birth control too. It would be very expensive to hire someone else to do all this work. They see themselves as having a lot to lose by empowering women and giving them more rights and freedom.

The stupidest part of all of that is that racism and homophobia and all of the other discrimination against marginalized groups actually does hurt the dominant group in certain (obviously not as severe) ways, however everyone fucking knows that when you’re talking about how an oppressed group is oppressed it’s extremely misguided, derailing, and ridiculous to start talking about how the dominant group is also hurt.
That is, unless you’re talking about women and men. Then suddenly the conversation has to be completely weighted equally and both sides need to be considered. SMH

Yeah this post is just not in line with my personal experience. I have heard all these narratives coming from different sides. Both the "you can't talk about racism cause it hurts my white feelings" and the argument that a society free of racism benefits everyone, not just those targeted by racism today. Same for all the other things listed.
Edit: I'll add a thought I've been having lately. Racist and prejudiced white people are often the targets of rehabilitative justice. Their actions are seen as perhaps a symptom of their mental illness, or some behavioral abnormality, that can be fixed. In this view the bigotry is literally seen as having a negative effect on the perpetrator to the point where they are given services to fix it. As happened with Amy Cooper. I'm not against rehabilitative justice (very for it actually) but it's interesting to see when it is used today because it is actually quite rare but heavily used on racist white people.

I see something similar in the black community as well. When black women experience sexism and misogyny from non-black people, it is categorized as “racism.” No matter how sexist it is, a lot of people in our community cannot fathom that black women would experience oppression that black men couldn’t also be victimized with. It’s genuinely irritating because, when the sexism and misogyny/internalized misogyny is coming from WITHIN our community, it gets brushed to the side and we need to shut up about it and stop complains about something “sO tRiViAl” because racism is more important. Can’t stand that shit.
