Have cops not gotten away with shit like what I described many times before? The recent scandal in Baltimore shows us that cops are either bad apples, or bad apple enablers. Seriously, it took an FBI investigation to bring their crimes to the light. Who polices the police? I used to defend them, but my God the Blue has never been more untrustworthy. Maybe it's just me, but I still think they should avoid firing any weapons unless someone is clearly in danger. I know she had a bar in her hands but she didn't seem to me like she was going to attack the officer. I really think protocol should be to try for as long as possible to deescalate the situation and I just don't feel that has been done here. He just yelled orders at her and tased her because she didn't listen, not because of anyone's safety. I know a lot of people will think or say he warned her, or that's what you get, but I just don't think it's the duty of a cop. They should be peace mediators and resolve situations using the least amount of force possible rather than the "be good and listen or I'll fuck you up" protocol that we see so prevalent today.
