I've long thought MR, like some Euro third parties, should have no permanent alignment with either political left or political right.

Nevertheless, in this instance, the left silenced an MRA. It's clear academia has a problem of the regressive left exercising a heckler's veto over any views other than its own. This is to a certain extent an inversion of the right's similar behavior under McCarthyism.

The moderate left should exercise some control over its loonies, in the interests of freedom of expression.

People need to look at the cause of ALL of this. Classic divide and conquer. They turn us all against each other, finding more and more ways to drive a wedge between the common people, while the wealthy who are the cause of all these issue continue robbing the country blind. If all these people would quit bickering among each each other and unite for the common good of PEOPLE (because at the end of the day we are all people), maybe we could get some real progress for a change.

I am personally not a big fan of Milo but disruption such as this on conversations on 'difficult' topics is appalling. BLM at its core isn't bad but gosh darn these people are ruining things for others.

I've gotta say, I DESPISE the way Milo Yiannopoulos conveys his message. He is a caricature in order to generate popularity. He constantly plays up the gay aspect of his life by ridiculing what his opponents wear and talking about having sex with their brothers. He intentionally provokes people because that is how he has generated such a following and popularity. Honestly, no one would have any clue who he is it if weren't for all the protests that follow him. It's a real shame too because when he puts that character aside he is actually a good speaker.

I fully support his stance that feminism has become a cancer, that the pay gap is a myth, and that white males are being silenced. BUT, he is not the person I want the public to associate with the MR movement.

Appalling behavior by the protesters but Milo has been courting the Alt-Right lately and that's not cool. It's hard to paint him as a innocent victim of the repressive left when he wants white nationalist/supremacist to be his fan club right down to calling fellow conservatives"cucks" for voicing dissent. If he keeps courting the extreme right, he'll have no moral high ground over the extreme left.
