So, trans people, after psychotherapy, go on hormones and often enough undergo surgery exactly to drastically alter their physical appearance to resemble the typical gendered image.

Yet all these "I identify as" peeps are like "genitals don't reflect your gender!", "don't let your appearance define you!"? Am I missing something here, cause I stopped categorizing mental maladies past "bigender-fluid"...

I'd feel like less than myself if I lost an arm or a leg. I'd feel less than myself if I were dis-membered, too. It's not like my penis is my whole identity, but my body is part of my perception of myself, ergo my identity.

To say that men should permanently suffer (despite medical technology) the loss of their sex organ because "PATRIARCHY!" is hypocritical because we know the type of person leaving those kinds of comments would coddle a woman who had her uterus and ovaries damaged/removed. It's this type of person who claims to be in favor of equality, but only if some people are less equal than others (men, obviously).
