To woman lol why you commenting on every single comment in here bro the answer is yes. Woman care if your able to provide for a family. Woman care if you can please them sexually. We all have preferences. I prefer a woman who hasn’t been ran through.

[+]Weekly_Signal6481 -10 points-9 points-8 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Your income and finances won't matter to the right person . Sexually history doesn't matter if it's the right person .

[–]detpistons4l 10 points11 points12 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

You right the right person won’t care but most woman care about income. Your deck size I don’t think they care as much as men believe they do.

[+]Weekly_Signal6481 -7 points-6 points-5 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

most women don't care about that

Tbf it is skewed cause the popular woman on social media are usually damn near supermodels and they can have high standards. Your average woman like the friends you have in highschool and sht generally don’t care abt either.

[–]OPzee19 81 points82 points83 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Women instinctively know it matters. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be so defensive and resort to shaming when the subject arises.

[–]Former_Ocelot5593 27 points28 points29 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Apparently d size doesn't matter but the second you whip it out it's a 'big' deal lol

[–]lumpynose 22 points23 points24 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If you're making $250K plus a year and you're fat and ugly the only thing they really care about is that income.

[+]Lirian105 -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Surely they don't get defensive because they've been shamed into thinking it matters.

[–]ABeeBox 21 points22 points23 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

But then they'll throw a hissy fit if even the name of your ex comes up.

[–]jeffend1981 77 points78 points79 points 3 years ago* (36 children) | Copy Link

And these kinds of women are not strong enough to deal with the reality that most men do not want someone like this.

Nobody is saying you can’t do what you want to do. But doing what you want to do always comes with consequences.

[–]ManzBearzPigzIzRealz 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

And this is what a lot (not all) women can’t wrap their heads around. No one (well, maybe not no one), is saying don’t be a slut. We love sluts. But we don’t want to wife sluts.

I want to party with the fun, crazy and irresponsible buddy that is always getting himself into hijinks, but I’m not gonna ask him to babysit my kids. I’m not gonna judge him and if what he’s doing makes him happy (provided he’s not doing harm to others), great! BUT, he has to realize that most of his friendships will be superficial, because of the choices he’s made. No one will take him serious, or trust him.

It’s the same thing with promiscuous women.

[+]Weekly_Signal6481 -5 points-4 points-3 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

so once a slut always a slut ? They can't settle down and have a family ? I was the wild party guy that got into hijinks but I settled down and had a family . It's called being young and then growing up

[–]ManzBearzPigzIzRealz 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

You bring up a good point. It’s not an exact analogy (none are). The man in my hypothetical can (likely) redeem himself over time. It very much depends on his desire to change and any lasting ramifications to his wilder days (illness, addiction, etc). He can possibly (re)gain the trust of those friends. However, they may never fully trust you, given your history. The answer to your question is, yes, kind of. Once a slut always a slut. Or rather, a former slut. The farther in time she’s removed herself from her promiscuous ways, the better. Notice how any time a former porn star dies (regardless of how she died), the headline is always, Former Adult Star Dies.

[+]Weekly_Signal6481 -7 points-6 points-5 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

okay and ? What does their reputation matter ? As long as they're true and honest now . Both I and my wife have a very wild past but none of that has mattered since we've met . 10 years married and going strong , never lied never cheated .

[–]ManzBearzPigzIzRealz 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Happy for you. That’s great! Really.

Why does it matter? Because past behavior is a good indicator of future behavior. Promiscuous people have a higher propensity to cheat and/or leave their partner. If I own a business, I’m not gonna take a chance on hiring a former thief, no matter how “reformed” he might be.

[+]Weekly_Signal6481 -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

My experience shows that that's not true , people who marry young with little sexual experience usaully cheat or leave their spouses . Those who wait and have a lot of sexual experience before they settle down usaully don't cheat . They've had their fun and wild times . It's not about reforming or recovering, its just about being actually in love and wanting to settle down . The majority of the guys in this group have no idea what real love is and most of them probably don't believe in it either.

[–]GreyWolf_Monkey1 point 2 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

On the contrary. I know plenty of couples that married young that have been together for over 50 years. By contrast the swinger/sex postive/sex worker/enm/polyamory scene is full of broken marriages, lying, cheating, infidelity and secrecy. As well as people pretending like they don't care, much the same as you appear to be doing.

[–]Weekly_Signal64811 point 2 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I didn't mention anyone in any of the categories you mentioned. And I don't know any marriage over 50 years that hasn't had infidelity

[–]GreyWolf_Monkey1 point 2 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

"My experience shows... I don't know any...."

I'm sensing that you or the people you associate with are just low calibre people if you're doing/these things are happening to you guys. I can assure you its not the case for everyone.

[–]Weekly_Signal64811 point 2 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

what things do you think is happening to us ? Do you know me well enough to say I'm low caliber or anyone I know is low caliber? Just because people aren't virgins and they have fun before they decide to settle down how does that make them low caliber?

[–]GreyWolf_Monkey1 point 2 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I don't need to know you well, or at all, I'm going by what you've demonstrated through your writing. Regarding people you know I'm going by the adage that birds of a feather flock together.

I also don't know what you've brought virginity into the conversation for, thats a whole other topic.

[–]Weekly_Signal64811 point 2 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Well please explain what I've said about myself and others I know that make us low caliber

[–]GreyWolf_Monkey1 point 2 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

See there's a point - why do you need explaining to? Why can't you just understand and grasp things? Why is your knowledge and frame of reference so shallow that you cannot pull your weight in this conversation? You'll note I've never once asked you for assistance in this conversation, and thats because I can rely on my own intelligence.

I'll do this once as a gesture of goodwill. You ask me to explain where you've said something about yourself or others you know that make you low calibre people. The answer is where you said that you knew of no 50 plus year relationship that didn't have infidelity. Its evident by your response that you consider this normal or unremarkable. Its not. This is (one) reason why you and your people are low calibre. Like I said, I'm doing this once.

[–]Weekly_Signal64811 point 2 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I don't think you know how conversations work , when you make statements you're expected to back them up with explanations when asked for one . You can't make statements and just say " because " or just start attacking the persons intelligence and insulting them . I myself have never committed adultery and also making human mistakes doesn't make someone low caliber but judging them because of those mistakes does . The problem is you've brought nothing to this conversation at all except baseless statements and insults .

[–]GreyWolf_Monkey1 point 2 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Lol if they're baseless, then why was I able to prove it to you in my previous answer?! You're done bro, get over it.

[–]Weekly_Signal64811 point 2 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

What is it that that you think you proved ? Because I don't remember you providing proof

[–]GreyWolf_Monkey1 point 2 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

See previous answer

[–]Weekly_Signal64811 point 2 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Okay , I get it . You quit because you can't back up anything you claim

[–]GreyWolf_Monkey1 point 2 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

See previous answer

[–]Weekly_Signal64811 point 2 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You really are a child

[–]GreyWolf_Monkey1 point 2 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

[–]GreyWolf_Monkey1 point 2 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Then go be with your wife. If you're happy to wife up a promiscuous woman, then go ahead and do it, and leave the guys who don't want a promiscuous woman alone. They have every right to be turned off by it, but you have no right to try and challenge their romantic choices, just because they're different from yours. End of story.

[–]Weekly_Signal64811 point 2 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

My opinion is valid and I'm allowed to share it

[–]GreyWolf_Monkey1 point 2 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Not all opinions are valid, most are stupid and a waste of time and yours appears to fall under this category.

[–]Weekly_Signal64811 point 2 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I can say the same for yours , especially this one but that's just my valid opinion

[–]GreyWolf_Monkey1 point 2 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

See, thats just the thing, you can't. You think you can, because you're stupid with low intellect. People like you (and like Einstein said, human stupidity is infinite) think that you can repeat what someone else is saying back at them and that is still applies/or makes sense. Deflection, stonewalling and batting back are all common tools of people like yourself, because people like you, along with being pugnacious, never have anything to actually contribute, and anything you do say is easily dismantled, as we've seen above.

So yeah I refer you to my previous statement, as I've seen nothing worthwhile to pursue in what you've said. Also, unless you have something to say that is actually worth my time, this is likely to be my last response.

[–]Weekly_Signal64811 point 2 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You've completely failed to explain why your opinion is more valid and why I can't say yours is in valid . You uses a lot of words but basically just said , no it isn't lol .

[–]Weekly_Signal64811 point 2 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Please specifically explain what exactly makes me stupid ? Besides disagreeing with me

I don’t get why this is not highlighted enough, the stories you hear of one night stands without protection actually make me worry about the level of sex education people have.

[–]dtyler86 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yep. I’ve never shot heroin or been addicted to drugs, but if you’re in recovery, some people won’t want to date/marry a sober person. You made your choices. They’ll make theirs. Neither pasts make you a bad person, but your choices may reflect your decision making habits.

[–]lonewolf86254 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

Pair bonding. It’s easier for a couple to pair bond when they have been with less sexual partners, some research says less than 5. One issue which can lead to problems in relationships is a woman who is hung up on a guy from years back whom she couldn’t lock down.

Also sleeping around shows poor judgement and lack of discipline.

[+]Weekly_Signal6481 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

anyone can have a problem in relationships if you're still hung up on an ex even if you only dated a few people . Most individuals have lack of discipline and poor judgment in their youth , its called growing up . This gives us two questions to examine: does promiscuity harm the ability of women to form lifelong pair bonds that are naturally uncommon in human beings, or does promiscuity harm the ability of women to form the serially monogamous pair bonding that is naturally common in humans?

The first question implies a bad premise to begin with, since we should already expect the average human not to form lifelong pair bonds. The lack of a lifelong pair bond does not indicate dysfunction or the inability to pair bond in the first place. It simply reflects how humans behave.https://datepsychology.com/the-meme-of-promiscuity-and-pair-bonding/#:~:text=A%20meme%20in%20male%20dating,able%20to%20form%20monogamous%20relationships.

[–]lonewolf86254 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

If you have all this information and are still willing to overlook promiscuity that’s your choice but don’t call people idiots for not risking their future. incase it goes wrong divorce can finish men. It’s just common sense.

[+]Weekly_Signal6481 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Did you read it ? this information contradicts what you're saying lol . A persons past doesn't predict their future and promiscuous people have long lasting monogamous relationships. I'm calling people idiots for judging someones character based on their ammount of sexual partners . I'm calling people idiots for acting like women are property, im calling people idiots for only judging women for having a lot of sexual partners . I'm calling people idiots for treating marriage like a financial contract or an ownership of property. None of anything matters if its the right person and you're both truly in love and ready to settle down . Problems happen when the wrong people decide to commit to one another.

[–]lonewolf862541 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

This is a very individual question.

Most women don't want to be with a guy with a huge body count.

Most men don't want to be with a woman with a huge body count.

Men accept this and women get pissy.

[–]Eyeofhorus34 36 points37 points38 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

The difference is that there are studies on the effect of body count on marital happiness and pair bonding and a man’s body count doesn’t seem to matter anywhere near as much as the women’s. I don’t think sleeping around is healthy behavior, but it’s age old wisdom that men should avoid women who do where as they say nothing about the man’s past. These studies confirm ancient wisdom.

“Thou canst convert a harlot into a wife”

[+]arrouk -6 points-5 points-4 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

A study into happiness is pseudo science at best as happiness isn't a quantifiable measure, imho obviously.

There is a difference in sexuality between men and women that is provable and measurable and is directly linked to hormones.

It doesn't change the fact both men and women want a partner with enough experience to know what they are doing but not so much that you will be just one of the many they have slept with.

One of the reasons high body count is an issue is because it’s an indicator of poor judgement and discipline.

[–]arrouk 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It can be an indicator of that, or tbh it can just be an indicator that they have a different attitude and view of sex to sex than myself, meaning we are incompatible at a very basic level.

I don't necessarily have any issue with people going to orgies on a weekly basis, gaining more than my body count in a night if that's what their into. It's just not what I want.

Most women don't want to be with a guy with a huge body count.

I don't know about that. The fact that one of the most common insults used to degrade men in general is "virgin" tells me otherwise.

Also men's universal experience of being hit on much more by women while in relationships vs while single.

A woman can be promiscuous but also means a man has slept with her before. So obviously it’s not stopping anyone from having sex with them.

And above all else a committed relationship REQUIRES sex, at least here in the west. So tell me this, how exactly are women supposed to be good partners and have men commit to them if they are expected to have good relationship material and no sexual experience? No sexual experience basically means no relationship experience either.

Maybe what to blame is hook up culture that men and women both benefit from (and lose from!!)

Why body count does matter

During sex, both men and women release oxytocin which is what causes both of them to pair-bond with each other leading to happier and longer lasting relationships.

This was considered common sense for a long period of time, but that died long ago.

In short: yes.

Humans evolved for many-many thousands of years in small communities: a couple dozen people in a band and a few hundred people in a tribe.

If you had a bodycount in the hundreds in ancient tribes, that means you laid with everyone you know; not just the men, but the women and children, too. The repulsive feeling this bodycount causes in others (or at least the feeling that this is not normal) is not an accident, it's ancient.

Let's say a tribe has 360 members with uniform age distribution: 120 children, 120 adults, 120 elders. If your bodycount is about 60, you slept with every possible person who is a socially acceptable partner (fertile age, heterosexual partner). That is still not normal. You are still the town bicycle.

If your bodycount is one or two dozen, that means you "sampled" every single band of your tribe. That is about the edge of acceptability.

A bodycount under a dozen is like "yeah, that happens, that's normal".

Keep in mind that Roman and Greek orgies and decadence don't disturb this evolutionary feeling. Those societies are ancient, but not that ancient. 2.000 years are not significant in the 100.000+ years that we are talking about here.

[–]GltyUntlPrvnInncnt 16 points17 points18 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Well, it's easy for women to have a high body count. It's hard for men to have a high body count. Hell yeah it matters.

[–]Amazing-Bit6140 18 points19 points20 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The real difference is:

When women hear a man’s body count: they imagine a room with all the previous women he’s slept with, and she wants to be the queen of all the women in that room. She wants to win the competition (to an extent, there’s a gross limit) but essentially it engages their competitiveness.

When a man hears a woman’s body count: they imagine a room with all the men she’s slept with, and it engages his disgust response. Men feel no desire to compete against a man who’s already slept with that woman, they’re only willing to compete when the other men don’t have the ‘prize’ yet. So men engage their competitiveness before copulation, and if they're competing against men who have already copulated, they lose the desire to compete and lose attraction.

Women want men to behave like women and find them more desirable for all their past partners, but it is both unreasonable and unfair to try and change what men are attracted to, just so women feel better about it.

[–]lahnzat7 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Here are two things, this counts when this same girl keeps seeing how much a man has in his bank account, women with this opinion are obviously "modern" women and if you are really "modern" what are you doing asking for requirements like a traditional woman. they sleep with hundreds of men, don't take care of themselves and still want the whole package. I completely agree that a woman has requirements, but logically a woman who took care of herself in her past. exactly like women of the past, traditional and conservative.

[–]WA0SIR 15 points16 points17 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

For women yes. For men no. Then has been shown time after time. Women associate sex with emotional connection. The more this connection is broken the harder it is for them to reclaim that connection for future relationships. Which is why the larger the body count, the more likely they are to leave a relation in the future.

[–]pookiehsoes 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I associate sex with emotion and I’m a man. It does matter for men as well.

[–]WA0SIR 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I was speaking generally.

[–]spelczech 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And even if what you said was entirely untrue, there's still the fact that a large body count indicates a lack of commitment.

If, say, I found out a person changes out sexual partners an average of once a month and has been doing this for years, why would I think that any relationship with them is going to last any longer? I would be foolish to assume so or waste any more time and resources than I had to.

[–]AdComprehensive6588 -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No, it matters for men as well. Not as much but still doesn’t mean they should replicate the very behavior they dislike in women.

[–]TheGameForFools 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

It matters because of what men and women value in each other.

By and large, women are the selectors and men are the selected. So, men have to prove they’re worthy according to what women find valuable.

The thing that drives men to compete with each other is the desire to be seen as the most valuable among their peers.

Women value a man that other high quality women have selected. And that selection is typically based on success and dominance.

Success being achievement, public acclaim, wealth, and privilege.

Dominance being physical height and strength, and power and influence over people, systems and things.

If a guy has slept with lots of high value women, it’s an endorsement of his worthiness as a mate.

Women who date this man get a boost in status for being picky and choosing to be with the best guy.

Pete Davidson is a good example of this. Once he’d been selected by a couple of high quality women, other high quality women wanted him.

Conversely, men value a women for exclusivity. The more physically beautiful a woman is, the more discerning she is able to be with who she selects, and the greater the boost in status to the men that date her.

If a woman is very beautiful, she has high quality options and can screen heavily, picking only the best men.

For example, Logan Paul is now dating Nina Agdal. Agdal is an insanely beautiful woman. Her dating history is very exclusive, a short string of long term relationships with very high value men.

She’s not bouncing from nobody to nobody. She’s a symbol of status, a woman few men have access to.

Logan was willing to commit to her because, although he has many sexual options, Agdal is so exclusive that the status boost of being with her is worth limiting his sexual variety.

This is why body counts matter to men more than women. And it’s the reason why women instinctively know not to be honest about high body counts.

A low body count matters to men more because every low value guy the girl sleeps with reduces her exclusivity which then reduces his status boost from being chosen by her.

A woman who isn’t discerning can actually damage a guys status.

Conversely, a man no other woman would select is not attractive to women. It’s like the guy has a cv with no jobs on it. It’s going to lower her status to be with him.

[–]japanman1602 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is a great explanation that’s not considered enough.

I think that the ease of access to sex is also connected to your explanation.

With a man and woman of equal dating value the woman will always have much easier access to sex and dating partners. Even a below average woman can easily have sex with tons of people.

Conversely it’s much harder to have sex as a below average man. Men must be either high value or trick people into believing they’re high value to have significant access to sex. Therefore, for a man the ability to have sex with lots of women is a sign that they’re high value.

While women always have easy access to sex regardless of their dating value. So a woman having a high number of sexual partners doesn’t make her higher value and instead shows a number of negative traits such as a lack of standards among other things.

People can rage against these facts and the double standards that come from them. But it’s not going to change the reality that a high body count for women is a negative and always will be a negative. Because as much as we might want complete equality it’s not going to change the biological realities and differences between men and women.

[–]GreyWolf_Monkey1 point 2 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Bro, guys don't want women with a high volume of men on their resume, full stop. Whether the men are high value, successful, whatever, doesn't matter - its about the number of men, not the quality of men.

[–]Sean857mag 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes and no...the bottom line is people can misrepresent their past.

[–]ihaveacrazyfamoly 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Both yes and no In general body count reflects a persons view on sex, for example some one with a high body count might not be as emotionally attached to sex as someone who only wants sex within a relationship. I find people who have dramatic differences in such views about sex tend to not be compatible. So, if u are someone for who sex is something that should be shared within a relationship u might not be compatible with someone to whom sex is just like washing their hands. Furthermore, there can be many reasons for a person to have a high body count both men and women such as self esteem issues, bad coping mechanisms etc. I think that there is no point in thinking about a persons body count as it is in large part just an indicator of their view of sex which can change as a person matures and heals, so I think it is much more important to have a conversation about what sex means to you rather then get caught up in some arbitrary numbers.

That completely depends upon the individual, doesn’t it? Some people care, some don’t.

[–]MustardWendigo 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's simple. A woman who's fucked 100 men will compare you to those 100 men any moment you aren't perfectly pleasing her. You don't cut the crust off her sandwiches like one of her exes did.

Nevermind the fact that ex cheated on her and slapped her in the face when she called him out on it though. You're only getting compared to the good parts she misses.

Same with sex. Style. Personality. The reason for this is women don't have to do anything to get into a relationship. That's not a debate. That's a long known fact.

My role as man is to dress up, preen and dance and sing for her.

Her role is to exist and say she likes my style and wants to hook up. So hard. Decision making so hard uuuugh.

So she's seen so many songs and dances by so many men. Men who for some reason or another aren't around. But you're still gonna get compared to them. A woman with the maturity to sleep with a lot of men and still be fair and reasonable will happily tell you her count because she's not fucking broken and doesn't need to hide it.

If you get mad. Ashamed. It's only because you're the type of women who wants your cake and to eat it too. Cope harder.

AND YES A MAN WILL DO THE SAME BUT WE KNOW THAT SO DONT TRY TO DEFLECT AND MINIMIZE.

But women aren't the performers. They just need to look good. Having a personality is a BONUS. It's a fucking requirement for men to even get spoken to lmfao. Again. This is not a debate. It's a well known fact.

Bottom line a woman will be more likely to fuck around behind your back because you're not reading her mind. Why? Because she's never had to really invest more than her time and a bit of attention. It comes that cheaply and that easily. She knows she can just go find cock n wallet #102 if she gets bored.

Yes a man will do the same but, let's not try to debate the fact, most men don't get to pull that much tail since women have unrealistic demands from the get-go and the sensible ones are few and far between and... Blessedly, often spoken for.

Not once has anyone been able to answer my question. What is considered a high body count? 3? 8? 11? 50?

Just curious where the line was.

Furthermore what if a women had been with 10 men in her 20s but got married mid 20s and was with one person for 20 years but then he were to pass away. She obviously can commit, is she unwanted by older men?

[–]golden_eyed_cat 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

In my opinion, a person has a high body count if they cannot remember the names of all of their sexual partners.

[–]Fritzbox5000 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

It depends I guess. I think the body count is too high if you lose the ability to commit to a long-term partnership and how the man you want to commit to can handle your past.

You have to understand that your boyfriend/husband has to compete with all the men you have been with in the past. If you have a body count of let's say 10, then the probability that your current man is the best out of those 10 you ever had is very low, which lowers the mans self-esteem. They are very insecure about that. If you switched your partner that often, who guarantees that he is your last one? Who guarantees that you won't throw him away if you find someone better? Because women with high body counts have usually also higher standards when it comes to sexual appearance, status and income of a man. This causes too much pressure for most men and they are therefore not willing to commit to such a woman in the first place.

Your example of a woman who had lots of partners in her 20s and a long relationship after that exists but it is rare. Most divorces are initiated by women and a large number of them are those with high body counts.

A man fears that she will just divorce him after marriage with children. He fears losing half of his money. He fears paying for child support for children he probably won't ever see again. Even if there are also "good" women out there, who have a high body count, most of them are just plain gold diggers, not able to have a long-term relationship. The man doesn't want to take that risk.

[–]princess00chelsea 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Your insights are very interesting. My question was in part based on my own experience with a few exceptions because I was just curious about the what if.

I think my experience is definitely unique for a few reasons. For one I grew up in the Mormon church and had to move mid high school to a place I hated. I lost my faith and basically as a fuck you to the church and act of rebellion I had been with a few guys. The church teaches you that sex before marriage is pretty much as bad as murder so I was resentful of being mind fucked all my life. Most were boyfriends, a few were people I already knew but it was never I went to a club and went home with a guy for a one night stand (too terrified of STDs for one) I was still kinda in that phase in college when I met my husband. I have only been in love twice, once with my first boyfriend (I was Mormon at the time so we didn't do it) and the man I'm with now. He's older than me so that might be why he didn't care about my past (nor did he want to hear any details about it and vice versa even though I've heard some stories of his past from his friends aka I know he has a much higher body count than myself) I am very happy with him and he is very much alive. I am prone to worrying about things and I do fear him passing before me because he is older. So I was curious how my situation would be viewed.

If I had grown up normal with healthy veiws about sex I know my situation would have been different.

[–]Fritzbox5000 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Thanks for sharing your experience. Yes, I understand the rebellious nature against religious dogmas. I was a former Muslim before I became an agnostic, even though nobody forced me to do things. I just grew out of it. And yes, I know a lot of females who suffer under religious parents. But that doesn't mean that the entire teaching of a religion should be thrown away. Use your mind and benefit from the positive things which Christianity has to offer, such as humbleness, spirituality and absense of a too materialistic lifestyle etc.

I think the best way you can treat your man is loyalty and that you show him that you value and love him, his work and efforts. You seem like a person who can reflect and I think you won't struggle with problems most promiscuous women have to deal with in their late 30s.

I wish you good luck and a long-lasting relationship.

It’s all subjective. I think for most men, anything close to 50 would be very high, for a woman. I’d imagine, anything above 15 would be considered on the high side. You have to factor in when they started having sex, current age and how long they’d been in monogamous relationships.

[–]Independent-Library6 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I read a study a few weeks ago on this topic. On average men were considered promiscuous at 15 and the amount of women interested would start to drop off, and women were considered promiscuous at 14 and interest from men would start to drop.

Difficult to give a figure, everyone could have a different threshold. And it is not the number per se. It is the attitude. However, I would probably not be comfortable with a partner of n approaching 10.

And your example of the widow is not good. The body count matters when you are considering the MOTHER of your CHILDREN.

If children are out of the equation it is a completely different ball game.

[–]maxime7567 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes. Simple as that. I would prefer a Virgin. I am saving my Virginity for that reason. I don't want a whore. Especially because than she'll compare you to her hook-ups and has a high possibility of being dissatisfied. For a Virgin this isn't the case. Also women with huge body counts often had an abortion. Either that or they already have a kid running around. The second option can be forgiven imo, but the first I find unforgivable. I am picky. The women I date should be picky. So you wind up in a successful marriage.

If they are a genuinely nice partner un all areas of life, body count doesn't matter.

[+]Lavarosen -3 points-2 points-1 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It depends on the individual, don’t shame others on their sexual choices, but you can have a preference towards your partner. Personally though, I don’t think it matters how many partners a person has had, how in the hell were they supposed to know which partner would be with them forever? What if they really just had a string of people who didn’t work out? Or even if they wanted to get around for experience, doesn’t that just mean I benefit because they will have a lot of tactics to use in the bedroom?

[–]Brilliant_Writer_136 -3 points-2 points-1 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

It doesn't matter that much.

Imagine if you were bisexual and met a dude that fucked with 100 dudes. But he's genuinely a great partner to have. Would you turn him down for that reason?

[–]Former_Ocelot5593 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Where are you getting the energy time and gas to meet with 100 different dudes in a short period?

[–]lumpynose 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

For gay men it's rather trivial. Most straight men probably have no idea how easy it is for gay men to hook up with other gay men.

[+]OofOuch_MyBrain -16 points-15 points-14 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Not to me it doesn't. Sex is fun, why would you want your partner to have lived in lonely boredom until they met you?

I don't get why guys think it matters so much tbh. They say women with higher body count have higher rates of infidelity, but if you look at the stats, it's so minor and wealth status is WAY more influential on infidelity than body count. But you don't hear guys talking about that.

I think any reason they give for why it matters is just post hoc cope. They're insecure, they're intimidated by a woman who want stand for shitty men, a woman who knows how good a man can be.

[–]Ok_Ad_9188 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'll take a stab at this.

I see a lot of the talk about 'body counts' do kind of include a certain aspect of shaming someone over it, which I do disagree with, but if I'm being honest I'd have to admit that I do take it into consideration. I don't think it comes from a place of insecurity or intimidation; I agree with a lot of what you said about it. Sex is fun, and I think a significant number of people, male or female, probably would take advantage of their ability to get it frequently were they to find themselves in such a position. And I can't really speak on the correlation between of number of sexual partners and infidelity; I suppose I could see how someone could make that leap, but it ultimately feels unfounded and judgmental. Why I consider it as a factor is that...well, it is one. The same way someone's lifestyle or spending habits give you a picture of who someone is as a person and what you can expect from them, their sexual history is also a factor. If a woman has averaged sixteen sexual partners a year for the last eleven years, it sends me the message that I can't really expect a commitment from her in exchange for my investment in a relationship with her. I mean, sure, people can change, and maybe it would be different, but what reason would I or anybody else have to expect that this person is suddenly willing to do the exact opposite of what they've always done? And, since it kind of logically follows that people who have a bunch of different sex partners enjoy having sex with a bunch of different people, why would I think they'd be happy being with just me forever?

Again, I agree that a lot of people will look at a body count as a way to shame or judge, but I don't think taking it into consideration to evaluate someone's character or determine compatibility is that ridiculous, and while there are situations where it could be indicative of insecurity, it's also a telling piece of information.

[–]spelczech 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Damn, you stated that much better than I.

I agree that people shouldn't be shamed for their choices as long as everyone is consenting and no one gets hurt, but am I going to hitch my wagon to a woman who changes out her partners more often than her furnace filter? I don't think so.

[–]Fritzbox5000 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's partially true.

Yes, one of the reasons a man avoids women with high body counts is insecurity, but this is understandable. If a man starts a relationship with such a woman, he feels like he's in competition with all those men she has been with in the past and also with all men who could possibly take his place. He feels under pressure because it's the man who has to deliver. If he's not good enough, he will be thrown away and replaced by another one.

Men also think that women with high body counts are not capable of developing a healthy long-term relationship. If an employer wants to hire someone and sees that the applicant worked for different companies each year, he doubts that this applicant is worthy of a long-term investment, because who guarantees that the applicant will be loyal to this company?

In relationships between men and women, it's even worse. If a man marries a woman who gets children, who guarantees that the woman won't just accuse him for violation and rape, divorce him, takes half of the wealth he has worked for and who is damned to pay child support for children he probably won't ever see again thanks to our court system? This might sound like a rare case, but the probability that this happens with high body count women is significantly higher according to statistics. Brittany Renner is one of these women who actually adviced women to marry an athlete, get a child from him and divorce him immediately after that, because athletes are stupid. That's the fastest way to get money. And she actually applied this strategy successfully with a NBA player herself.

Does that mean that all women with high body counts are gold digger? No. But most gold diggers have a high body count and it's hard for men to distinguish between them.

That's the reason why most men avoid these kind of women. Men are very insecure nowadays and there is a reason for that. Women don't want to be accountable for their promiscuous actions and wonder why they are single in their 40s.

I'm not telling this to you as an accusation. Most women and men who have the option to live a promiscuous life will probably live a life like that. I probably would have done this too in my youth, if I wouldn't be a Hikikomori struggling with women. But that doesn't necessarily mean that it's healthy for your future. Especially women risk a life in solitude if they hit the wall and I'm not sure if that's a good idea.

[–]Shadowdragon409 -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Lots of misogynistic comments this time.

Body count matters for most people, but a woman having had sexual partners in the past doesn't decrease her value as a woman, or limit her ability to "pair bond".

For most people, it's an issue when you have lots of partners in a small period of time. Like 20+ people in 6 months. It's more acceptable if you have 20+ people in 20 years.

I personally wouldn't ask my partner how much experience they've had, but if I knew beforehand that they get around, I wouldn't want to pursue anything with them.

[–]Fritzbox5000 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She actually decreases the probability to pair bond. Divorce rates are higher for women with higher body counts. https://ifstudies.org/blog/counterintuitive-trends-in-the-link-between-premarital-sex-and-marital-stability/

[–]CatCow_1 -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ok, if women should keep their body count low then men also have to keep it low too. You cannot suggest women having a high body count is bad, yet get upset if a women doesn't want to have sex with you. You are contributing to the high body count when you sleep with a women. Be the change you want to see lol

[–]Friendly_Order3729 -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I’m really interested to know the male perspective on this from this group. When I had this discussion with my bf he had slept with more people than me, but both of our body counts didn’t bother the other. But honestly wouldn’t you want someone who had a bit of experience so that they knew what they were doing and were more confident to discuss what each other likes in the bedroom to have a healthy and satisfying sex life?

The ultra-feminist view is that men who want a woman who is a virgin or have no more than 2ish, do so because they are bad in the bedroom and don’t want the woman to have any standards for a sexual partner I.e. understand female pleasure. I think there could be some truth in that with certain men, but obviously not all.

I’m curious to now your reasoning behind why women having slept with, let’s say 10 men before is a problem? Not in a condescending way, I just am the type of person that I want to understand both sides fully to ensure I am making my own educated decision. But I can’t understand it from a men’s perspective so I came here.

It matters to insecure boys on the Internet trying to impress each other. It doesn't matter to mature men and women in the real world who have relationships with real people.

[–]Adhipathi12 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

It is evident that having a high body count is a sign of making poor decisions and also it poses a high risk of contracting a sexually transmitted disease. Additionally, for women, the capacity to pair bond is greatly reduced when they have had too many sexual partners. I can keep going on. If this doesn't concern you then good for you, there is no need to label those who disagree with you as immature.

[+]twistednormz -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Come on, do you really think that a 60 year old man, for example, probably divorced, looking for a lady of a similar age to share his life with is going to ask her how many past partners she had, let alone base his decision to date her or not on that? Of course it's a maturity thing. Younger people tend to be more insecure. People generally become more confident as they mature and are less likely to feel insecure when compared to a potential mate's previous partners.

Continually making bad choices is a habit and choosing those people can be a really bad choice to make when searching for a long-term relationship or marriage.

If you don't mind your partner having a high body count, then that's fine. However, it would be unfair to label those who have a different opinion as immature. Everyone has their own perspective, and it is important to respect that

[–]Fritzbox5000 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Yes, but the priorities of older people change. The focus of older people is companionship. You probably won't plan to get children and have not to worry about money problems. That's different especially for young men. They have to work hard for their money. Marriage with children and a woman with a high body count bears the risk of getting divorced very quickly. As a result, the man loses half of his wealth he worked for, probably looses the house, is not allowed to see his children but is forced to pay child support until he dies. This is not insecurity in the first place but common sense.

[+]twistednormz 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Marriage with children and a woman with a high body count bears the risk of getting divorced very quickly.

A woman has the same risk in a divorce. It's like you think only men have money??!!

is forced to pay child support until he dies.

Until he dies?

  1. Yes, it's hard to work for everybody but men are significantly more likely to work full-time, while women benefit from it. Women CAN optionally work to increase income, but for most men, it's an obligation.

  2. Do you have internet and access to Google, my friend? https://ifstudies.org/blog/counterintuitive-trends-in-the-link-between-premarital-sex-and-marital-stability/

  3. Again, you only bring exceptions. How likely is it that the woman makes more money than the man? Even women themselves admit they won't marry socially and financially down, so there is almost no risk for a woman, but a lot to win after a divorce, if she does nothing but benefit from the mans money. Brittany Renner, a famous "influencer" for young women, openly gave the advice to marry a professional athlete, bear a child and divorce him after a false rape accusations immediately after that to guarantee a high child support. A strategy which she applied herself with a NBA player. And that is not a rare case.

  4. Not or only rarely if the woman makes false rape or violence accusation against the man. In that case, it is unlikely that a man can win against her in court.

You really should open your eyes.

[+]twistednormz 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

  1. Yes, it's hard to work for everybody but men are significantly more likely to work full-time, while women benefit from it. Women CAN optionally work to increase income, but for most men, it's an obligation.

No dude, for most men and women (in Western Europe at least) working for money is an obligation.

  1. Do you have internet and access to Google, my friend? https://ifstudies.org/blog/counterintuitive-trends-in-the-link-between-premarital-sex-and-marital-stability/

I really wonder how much of that you understood. It's clear that it's complex, and certainly more correlation than causation. I'll just leave you with one quote from the article you linked:

"Having two partners may lead to uncertainty, but having a few more apparently leads to greater clarity about the right man to marry. The odds of divorce are lowest with zero or one premarital partners, but otherwise sowing one’s oats seems compatible with having a lasting marriage."

  1. Again, you only bring exceptions. How likely is it that the woman makes more money than the man?

In current times, quite likely. It's becoming more and more common for the woman to be the main breadwinner in the family (I think it's like 30% of households now, but I forget exactly so I will have to look it up again). I don't know who Brittany Renner is, but I imagine there are plenty of men advising other men how to get one over on women - I've seen it in the men's rights sub even, so I don't know why she is special for you).

  1. Not or only rarely if the woman makes false rape or violence accusation against the man. In that case, it is unlikely that a man can win against her in court.

That's just lies. Every divorced person I know see their children, I know a few men who avoid seeing them as much as possible, but that's the man's choice. There are numerous studies showing that when men want shared custody of their children they generally get it from the courts, although most don't go through the courts and the ex-couple make the agreements themselves.

You're out of your depth here. You have clearly built up your opinions from things you've read/seen in "manosphere" spaces, where the information is biased and cherry picked. Try seeing the bigger picture.

You never replied about no. 5

No. People can have sex and enjoy their time with other people regardless of gender. However if your current person of interest is keeping their options open or are actively going out still partying that should be cause for concern. Women also have an easier time achieving sex especially now due to social media/ dating apps etc. We can't judge people entirely on their past because the good ones will learn from their mistakes.

Most people only get 1-5 deep romantic loves in their life. This is the person they’d cheat on their SO for given the opportunity. The “one that got away” so to speak. Body count doesn’t matter nessecarily but unless you’re one of their deep loves… well you know, they’re less likely to form deep loves as the body count increases. It’s pretty much the same for men and women. That’s not to say that someone with a high body count wont form a deep connection with you.
