My wife moved yesterday. And I had the fun of getting to help her move. Yay. Somehow her group of supported divorcees didn't come to help her actually leave. Strange that.

But, I let her have the bed, got a new one, and had the best sleep last night that I've had in a long time.

Next step - our separation agreement is written, agreed on, and just needs to be signed, and that should happen today. I was a more generous on a few items than I needed to be for a couple of reasons:

  • get it done quickly
  • avoid adversarial lawyers
  • avoid having the kids seeing us fight over money
  • avoid having her fight about me having full custody

During our talks, I quickly realized that she was all about the money right now, and if I dangled a bit, she would not pay attention to the non-monitory things that were there.
