Bidding Farewell

I myself had to take a break from the sub because it made me relive every nonsensical battle, every false police report, every disappointment with family court and CPS, the months of missing my kids, the lost sleep and the financial devastation of dealing with my ex.

This isn't a boast post. It's a graduation. Of course we're here to encourage and support our brothers and get through the hard times with the advice and wisdom of others. Farewell posts like these are success stories. Whether you reconcile or make it out of divorce unscathed or find someone new, you can close that book and set the worst chapter of your life on the shelf. We need farewell posts so we know this hell isn't forever.

I wouldn't call it an "odd" fraternity. It's a normal truth that A LOT of men never find, or realize since there is a big big lie about marriage and the evolution of society, especially with the dominance of social media. They will suffer til the end in silence for some foolish self inflicted noble reason. In my opinion, we are to some degree, lucky. To all that have learned and hold that new truth with you then mission accomplished. Safe journey forward. Hopefully you don't find your way back for the wrong reasons. Unfortunately, a decent small amount will. I consider this place an Oracle. A true resource. A place where where the lie can't breathe anymore. And a constant tap on the shoulder saying "hey, you sure about that" and "remember what you now know." Too many come here for quick feel good validation for a very brief moment and didn't pickup anything long term to get them to a decent place. In my case, I don't check everyday but I'm around. Overall 80% of our stories are roughly the same. The degrees can be amazing. It's the nuisanced things/information I look for now that can be so so valuable from a post ( especially if it happens in my state ). Checking every day, once every few months, once every year or 3, men need to realize the reality of marriage and likely possibilities of it before they get here.

I haven’t been here long but I’m glad you made it out. Until this post, I hadn’t realized how much time I spend with you guys. I refresh New Posts consistently and lurk around. Most of the posts are greyed out for me. Some days it’s the literally the first and last thing I do.

Interestingly this area of the internet and world is where I feel most comfortable.

I’ve gained so much insight and wisdom from here that I know one day I’ll be bidding my farewell to this place like you have. It’s difficult to see it clearly from where I’m at now but I know I’ll get there. I have to and I will.
