I know it's inevitable.

Spouse, m47, too tired to parent, constantly on his phone despite requests to put it away during meals (and doesn't), travels 50% of the time for work. Has been caught in precarious situations because he 'gets lonely' when he travels. He makes about 110k.

I, m38, work from home, going back to school, taking care of the household chores, parenting responsibilities fall to me, I make about 93k and am moving up quickly in my organization.

On paper it seems like a no brainer. But we have a 4-year old. I'm contemplating just burying my frustrations deep and holding out until she graduates and is in college. I want her to have (or at least feel like) a stable household, continue to go to her private school and not feel any detriment from a single income household.

Is staying for kid(s) a right reason for staying?
