During question time in Australian parliament not long ago, Senator Whitten asked the sitting government why there is an Office for Women but not an Office for Men, especially given the suicide rates, workplace fatality rate, imprisonment rates, loss of access to children after separation/divorce. Boys make up 38% attendance at universities, and boys are 3 times more likely to be on ADHD medication. He didn’t touch on veteran suicide though, but that’s another whack to men.

Governments and society have consistently ignored the struggles of men and prioritised the advancement and protection of women. This has been an essential correction, but it’s way out of control now.

Many male groups such as fathers rights, or podcasts that pushes anything more than a very mild form of masculinity, is decried by loud feminists as being toxic.

At the end of the day, I think guys would like to see shift in family court, and consequences for false allegations.

My ex started crying in mediation when it came to splitting a $3,000 bill…. Mind you, this is a person who lied and said that she was battered brutally for years by me to gain an advantage in the divorce in terms of custody and keeping the house - not a shred or iota of evidence - cost me roughly $20,000 to defend my innocence. Who do I get to cry to as a man?

Men are seen as cannon fodder in today’s society. Society doesn’t even value us as parents. We’re literally just seen as the proverbial sperm donor. It can be depressing when you look at how much men really do value and care for their families, not to mention the unseen sacrifices.

Imagine a man saying he abandoned his family to “find his happiness”.

It wouldn’t be a union my guy, it would be an organization or a club type entity.

I think this is an amazing idea! I would join for real. I’m a business guy OP, if you’re serious, or anyone else is, I’m sure between us guys here on Reddit in this sub, we have all the pieces. We just need to put them together.

We need attorneys, someone who can legally set up the non profit entity, and have experience with the executive functions of a similar/exiting entity.

We need someone who’s good at organizing to take the lead, and get everyone organized to get it off the ground. This is ready to go, I bet you’d have over 1,000 members just from this sub alone, but the hard part Is organizing everything.

There should be and it should focus on lobbying for divorce law reforms. Bill Ackerman the billionaire hedge fund guy went through a divorce and cost him a ton of money so he can relate to how the system is broken. Of course he is brilliant and can always make more money and has but he can fund the group if it was formed properly to help us common man out from under this system where judges act without impunity. Musk too can donate. Lots of successful men could fund this group to battle the corrupt bar association.

Well, cops tend to get divorced, so a police union would be good. My local IBEW had lots of family guys, not a ton of divorced ones though. They also let girls into unions now too, so there's that.

Seriously though, outside of fraternal organizations, you might find support groups in your area. If you have kids, probably dad groups. You could try one of the meetup apps and see what's around.

Once upon a time men had the Elks, Masons, Shriners, knights of Columbus, Lions, VFW, etc.

There were multiple fraternal organizations that were men only. Some were cultish, some were misogynistic, but almost all of them were seen as good Ole boys clubs.

They are dying off with the boomers and nothing is there to replace them. I'm a member of Knights of Columbus, because they have good insurance, and I'm 45, and the youngest member by over a decade.

They all got banned. MGTOW is a men’s independence movement but it got banned because heterosexual men creating a life style that doesn’t prioritize women is seen as a threat to their power. So they call it misogynistic, get it shut down, and then keep their blatant misandry subreddit corners.

These misandrist women, as much as they will deny it, still thrive on men’s validation. Even when they hate them they still want to feel desired by them. Their feeling of power comes from rejecting men.

Funnily, “butch” lesbians are actually the ones with the best relationships with men. Men enjoy their interactions with them and vice versa. They have plenty of male friends. Because their stance on masculinity relieves the ego pressure in them & in actuality, they are bisexual deep down. Truly detached women have no anger towards men. It’s obvious to see that there are good men.

Typically women go butch because they never felt desired by men so they lean into masculine presentation to be desired by women who rebel against men but still want and are attracted to the masculine essence. Lesbians are mostly born through bad experiences with men. It’s an ego protection through avoidance. Women are far more likely to be open to bisexuality, but a gay woman is extremely rare. If exist at all. Unlike gay men, who are 100% gay.

So the point of all of this is: they will never let men congregate and gain independence because they care too much about what men do and think. They will forever invade those spaces and drop opinions and try to ridicule until it collapses. Meanwhile, men have to capacity to leave them in their corners. Which is why their subreddits are alive and well & ours are not.

This is the closest you will get to it on reddit & women come here with their own posts about seeking advice on how to open up & capture a divorced man.

I've looked into this subject and it appears that men's groups are routinely targeted by feminists and shut down as they brand it as a hate group or far right group.

None that I know of, nor found in any research. In fact, finding local support groups is difficult too. AA keeps coming up when I’ve searched online.

I think this something in general that men need to improve. Keeping those old friendships alive. Nurturing them the way women do so we have a built in support system.
