Abandonment means different things, depending on the state you live in. I’m in Florida and abandonment can effect alimony and custody but not property rights, since a no fault state. Others have mentioned this, so I thought I would chime in.

We don’t know the full story between you and the wife. I’m thinking the issues go well beyond nagging and other b/s. You’ve been out of the house for 6 days and no outreach from the wife? Maybe this is a case of who blinks first or she’s done with the relationship and won’t ever reach out. If it’s the former and I suspect you already know if it is or not, then you have to decide whether you are going to blink. If you want the relationship, fall on the sword, and go be a better husband. Maybe you already are a top notch husband and she truly is an ass, then just go home and see if you can make her less of ass.

If you don’t want the relationship then go see an attorney, just that simple.

I’m nearly four years divorced and have an adult age son whom I haven’t spoken with since. I’m a very good father, coached the sports, encouraged, loved, etc. I was a very good husband too but the wife just didn’t want me anymore, not sure what her real reason was and don’t care. My point is that you can be the best husband and father and your kids still want nothing to do with you. Maybe you get lucky and figure it out but don’t be surprised that you only get a happy birthday text. Chew on this before you decide to call it quits.

Ask her to go to couples counseling, detail the issues that bothers you and state that you’re trying very hard to make things work but it takes two

Just said u need to cool down think about how to improve the relationship then tok to your wife. You thinking she has another man- distrust or lack self confidence both isn’t good. Is there any reasons for thinking so? Go for therapies both of you.

When she nag- it means she still cares. Maybe she need help things to be done her way but you think it’s ok to wait or do it your ways…these are all day to day things that is not important but break relationships. Have a good understanding and see how to best win win manage it- try to think positive not negative. u both have young kids, nobody wants a divorce right if it can work?

Do you miss your wife at all? If not, maybe its time to come to terms with yourself and admit you dont want to be with her anymore.

Leaving the house may have been a mistake from everything I've heard, I'd go back as immediately as possible.

I regret nothing. Is it lonely, and do I miss seeing my kids more frequently? Of course. But the bandaid had to be ripped off, and I'm not returning to that toxic dysfunction for anything. I was teaching my kids the wrong lesson by being the doormat for so many years.

Now that you’re out, I doubt you’ll get back in. Telling you “never leave” isn’t helpful now.

Other men? Maybe, maybe not. It doesn’t matter - it’s out of your control. The “Serenity Prayer” doesn’t just apply to alcoholics… look it up. Hear it. Understand it. Live it.

You need a plan for moving forward. You will need to communicate with the wife and come up with a parenting plan. You can do this with or without an attorney.

I’d generally recommend getting an attorney to help guide you to try to do things as right as possible moving forward.

Depends how the definition of moving out is defined and interpreted. Technically, until a judge orders that you cannot return to the home you can come and go as you please. Even if you pack a suitcase and leave, your wife cannot change the locks and lock you out as long as your name appears on the title.

Go home don’t leave your kids. Do not argue with your wife. Do not give her any ammunition. Go to counseling if you haven’t yet. Try everything before you file

One possible scenario for you to consider:
Make contact and say you are sorry. Move back in and try to work things out but don't beg and stay stoic. If things don't work out, make sure you have done your prep before just filing. Start planning your exit.

Go home! Get a lawyer! Get photos and document everything! If she does have another dude try to get evidence. KEEP YOUR TEMPER! If you get mad and act stupid you will burn yourself to the ground.
