My STXW is a good mom. With one big exception. She likes to drink too much and will frequently drink and drive with the kids in the car. Maybe three or four glasses of wine and then drive a few miles home. She doesn’t think of it as a big deal but acknowledges she’ll stop, but never does. Do you think I could put it in the divorce decree that if either one of us gets a DUI, it would automatically trigger Primary custody for for the other parent? Right now we’re planning on shared custody equally. I don’t want to take away her time with the kids, but I want to be there to some sort of pain point and deterrent from drinking and driving. I have a meeting with the lawyer soon, so I’m sure he’s gonna answer that but I thought I would check with you guys to see if you’ve experienced this sort of situation.
