My ex has always had a short fuse with our oldest daughter (10). The child is difficult no doubt, but where I accept she is a kid, my ex just can't handle the attitude / outbursts etc from the child. Even when living together, I could see the issues, and when id offer to help and point out the issue, my ex would just get defensive instead (because my ex is never wrong /s)

So a few nights ago at mom's house, they had another arguing match and ..somehow... this led to the ex pinning down my daughter and forcibly brushing the child's teeth. Usually these stories are overblown by one side, and I can't trust my ex or my child to be honest. But this time my sweet honest 6yo admits.. "yeah that happened". My children and I discussed it, I showed them plenty of love, and they understand that was she did was wrong.

So I find this all out last night, and I needed to spend today thinking how to formulate my reply to my ex, because I know all she will do is deny deflect and pop an attitude. Tonight, my oldest had a therapy appointment (to help work managing the emotions that get her in these situations), and she told the therapist. The therapist explained to me, that she now has to call dcf. It's not to the point where the therapist thinks my child is in danger but still close enough that she has to call.

My divorce isn't yet final. We are meditating and back and forth with our lawyers has been going on forever. Parenting is 50/50 already. I intend to call my lawyer tomorrow for advice, and thinking I should warn my ex that she might get a call, and suggest she get her anger in check.
