Sell it dude. Find a jewellers that buys rings etc. Maybe visit a few and see who offers the most for it. Not much hassle really.

You won’t get what you paid for it but you’ll get something back at least!

She didn’t keep it? I thought those were typically treated as gifts owned by the recipient in a divorce. I’m not counting on my STBX giving hers back, although we haven’t talked about it.

As for my own band… The cash from a sale would be nice, but I have a feeling I’ll end up keeping it for sentimental reasons. After three decades, I hate to let it go. It’s an important part of my past.

Go to a jeweler. If you happen to have the gem info from your purchase that would be best but at the very least they can test the metal and get you something better than a pawn shop

I was engaged a long long time ago and I got the ring back. Pawn shops and jewelry shops didn't offer crap for it. The place I got it would give what I paid for it to use toward another ring at double the value or more. So my soon to be ex wife got a ring double the value of my ex fiance. 😆
