To me....it's seems like they believe they're on par with the likes of a David or another biblical kings that they like to bring up (the name escapes me). But in reality they are fools.

No need for mental gymnastics if they're just making it up (or lying). They don't have to believe what they're saying, they just need their followers to buy in to the act.
To be charitable to them, maybe they think "man of God" means having a thoughtless conservative take on every social issue; maybe they start out having a thoughtless conservative take on every social issue and calling themselves "man of God" is part of that.

Yes, no Christian should be following their dating advice. They devalue women, who are made in the image of God and ignore that all believers are one in Christ Jesus, neither Greek or Jew, male or female, and that men are to sacrifice themselves for their wife, like Christ for the church. They have no understanding of the Christian framework given their celebration of lust, pride and selfish ambition. Red pill is not Christian in any way.
