Well for starters, age gap relationships are more common among older couples and gay/lesbian couples. Most couples are close in age, like 5 years or less of an age difference.

I don't see any evidence that says younger women ending up with older men is the norm.

Now, if you're talking about older guys chasing after younger women... that's a different story. These guys usually get labeled as creeps, groomers, or even pedophiles (depending on how young of a lady we are talking.)

I used to get hit on all the time by older men starting at age 13 and so did my friends. I hated this. It would set my anxiety off.

I got hit on by guys older than 40 when I was 16-21. I just assume they’re lonely.

It is a little scary though because it’s hard to relate to someone that is the opposite sex and is that much older than you. You also feel like they have some power or authority over you or they know things you don’t, and you wonder what kind of person is that desperate at that age.

Also, I think it doesn’t happen to all women. There seems to be a certain “type” that the older men hit on?

I’m an introvert and I keep to myself. I also have a face that just looks like I’m easily taken advantage of. Lol. I think I look pretty approachable to people who would otherwise be put off by me.

In my experience (8yo to now) it's not cool. It 100% happens and It's wierd and creepy. Maybe its because I've been hit on by older men since I was a LITERAL child. But as an adult, the thought is so unappealing to me because of the experiences I've had. I also know women who feel the same although they aren't "all women".

I don't think there are as many young women rushing to marry or be in relationships with older guys as people are told. Kinda one of those things that's more normal depending on your circle so it SEEMS like everyone is doing it.

Older men creeping on younger women is so common all over the world, across cultures and countries. Many places even have dedicated names in 'honor' of these kind of creepers.

'Uncle Shiny Forehead' is what it is called in my corner of the world. Usually you find them in malls, hair thinning and with combover that somehow always got greasy. The malls light reflected onto the now looking even bigger forehead as they tried their luck on school aged girls who hang out in malls after school. Though they will creep on any woman that looks young.

Source: seen many of these foreheads approaching me from the age of 12 and up. Haven't stopped even after moving countries. I guess there are always over-supply for these shiny forehead beings. Would have been great to find a way to convert these into green energy somehow, since the world never seem to run out of it anywhere anytime.

It's a really weird flex for me and not in joking way either. I'm a guy in his mid 20s. I remember a q&a Rich Cooper did on Instagram and a he was asked if it was cool for a man his 30s or 40s to hit on a woman in her 20s. He answered he knew men in their 50s who bang women in their 20s and he said that very proudly. I remember just slowly putting my phone down after that.

I think they try but rarely succeed lol. Just another thing that red pill is wrong about. Idk if you've seen the whole "once you hit 35 young women will be beating down your door" sentiment from RPers but I used to see it a lot on pol and whatnot, I think it's just a way for men below that age to cope with lack of success with women and an excuse to not put any effort into self improvement.

When I worked at a variety store at 14 I had creepy old men hitting on me. It happens. A lot. It is also sexual harassment bc I think many get off on the fact young women get nervous, uncomfortable and scared. It's a power/control thing. I imagine it's far worse for girls/young women now with porn-sick "barely legal" porn being so popular.

My boyfriend is 15 years older than me and I initiated things because I liked him. I've had other much older guys try to talk to me when I had no interest and I usually give one word answers and not look at them much trying to find some sort of exit. Don't think the age matters too much(if she's over about 25) if you get some signs she's interested. Think it would be weird if she was like a teen and he was pushing 40.

I’m 30 but have aged so well I sometimes pass for a super senior or grad student (so there’s that). Have the salt and pepper going on some. I have noticed that college aged girls do not care if you’re older, they really don’t and are kind of into it. However, they bring a level of chaos to my life when I’m looking for peace- they’re worried about bar hopping and Instagram and college finals and crappy first jobs and apartments, whereas I have already done all of that.

Aiming 4-5 (maybe 6) years younger seems to be the sweet spot I’ve noticed. She gets an older guy with a job and stability, and I get a pretty girl that isn’t asking me to her sorority formal.

I think is natural for men wanting to be with younger women

A lot of guys here will tell you that these men are weirdos or pedophiles, but they are ignoring the fact that age is a subjective topic (they are mostly Americans)...

Cultures and countries all over the world have something in common and is the preference of men for younger women, and it's easy to know why, if you think for a moment, why would a man be with an older woman ignoring love and feelings, because let's be honest the way we know love was very different in those times before humanism.

Only rich ppl, folks that didn't have to be worried about anything else, they were the only ones who could think about love because they have the time to do it so.

And i'm not saying that love didn't exist before humanism, but it clearly had not that much of importance as the way we gave it today.

So to end with this, just think for a from a man's perspective, why would he prefer an older woman than a younger one?

Depends what you mean by 'interest'. Interest in dating them? Not necessarily a ton. Being sexually attracted to them? Quite a lot.

I don't think they're afraid of being judged, most guys just don't bother because they know they don't really have a shot. Generally speaking, the only kind of guy who can hook up with girls who he is significantly older than is either extremely attractive for his age, extremely confident, or extremely wealthy/successful (or more than likely some combination of all 3). Only a tiny % of men fall into those categories overall.

It is not about age, it is about richness and wisdom older man has. lets say they go top 5% richest guys, which makes statistically not very significant but understandable. I have 40 yo friend, and we talk about her dating problems. I suggest her to either hit 60+ yearsold guys with at least houseowners or go for 20 years old guys to build up together. she doesn't even consider 20 yearsolds but 60s are still acceptable not favorable. 30 - 50 doesn't even consider 40yo women, they hit youngers.
