FDS is essentially what you get when you turn the TRP coin on its other side. They work in opposite directions of the gender war but are ultimately based on the same values as TRP and many other misogynistic ideologies.

Both FDS and TRP place a man's value on his ability to provide resources. TRP denies this, but achieving success to appeal to "female hypergamy" is part of their tactics to get laid and keep relationships.

Both FDS and TRP see sex as a one way street activity that men engage in at the expense of women. FDS denies this but their obsession with avoiding casual sex and making men wait as per their handbook shows that, at its core, they see sex in similar light as TRP.

Both ideologies look down on men they perceive to be weak or non conformist.

FDS isn't a place I'd recommend to anybody trying to detox.

Oh man, where to begin. I'll just list all the issues that I've seen with it when I used to visit their out of curiosity:

The good: Like TRP it can promote decent screening techniques for dating. Knowing how to spot red flags is always really important, it can save you from potential abuse or ending up with a narcissist.

The bad: It's an echo-chamber that promotes blatant misandry. None of the members ever combat this misandry either, it always goes unchecked. It's also filled with horror stories about men being assholes, which is extremely toxic to be viewing 24/7. It's like how TRP constantly shares stories about women cheating in the worst ways possible, it makes the men resent women. They also almost objectify men and try to make us seem like we're simply resources. This is seen with the obsession over finding a "high value man" or HVM.

The terrible: I'm not sure if the mods jumped on this, but there used to be racism on the sub. Girls would post about "avoiding black guys" because they're "more aggressive" and less safe to date. There was also a post with hundreds of upvotes saying that its "okay to lie to men" and that men aren't entitled to know true things about you. If that's not God-awful dating advice, then I don't know what is.

UPDATE: After doing some more digging I found more gems that demonstrate FDS' moral superiority. Several members promoted male suicide. Now, you might be thinking, "these are just outliers, right? They probably got downvoted to shit," nope, they had very positive karma. They also mocked male addicts because "how can men be addicts despite being so coddled."

Yes. It falls very in-line with the same beliefs/attitudes that the Redpill/PUA community carries. They’re also quite transphobic in addition to misandrist and racist. I’d argue that they’re inherently right wing, no matter how “feminist” they claim to be. Relative to the definition of feminism, there’s nothing “feminist” about defending traditional gender roles, which FDS LOUDLY does. They’re no more than an echo chamber of reactionaries.

Also, I disagree with you where you said there’s nothing inherently wrong with FDS, there absolutely is TONS inherently wrong with them.

I will not be elaborating any further. I rest my case.

Look it's fine to be selective while dating (that's probably the most effective way to find a husband) however with them it's constant man bashing. Yeah I get it, men do horrible things to women all the time and we should hold them accountable. But I feel like thats all they focus on? It feels very bigoted. The majority of the sub is focused on bashing men. And we can't make progress that way.

I commented and said that no one owes you anything. Men are bitter towards and punish women who reject them all the time. And as women, we’re rightfully horrified at that. And these women are just sitting around copying incels now?

I can't believe people are lying and stretching themselves to pretend FDS is as bigoted as redpill/manosphere garbage. Telling women to vet men before sleeping with them and making men make an effort is not abusive to men. I do think they tend to be too conservative, but they antipathy is towards men who manipulate women, not men in general. Women protecting themselves is not misandry.

FDS is the response to the red pill. Men have been teaching each other how to manipulate and emotionally abuse women they date for years. Its poisoned the dating pool. Its only natural that women would be effected by it and learn / teach others to avoid those men.

Yes, many of the posts are absolutely disgusting. I joined their community because i like the reading the stories of how these grown ass women allow themselves to get taken advantage of and then blame ALL men for that. They blame everyone but themselves. It was truly a new thing for me to witness women speaking like that when most girls are raised to think only men can be incels. They even have a set book to what to look for in a "high value man". They will judge a man for doing what they enjoy even if it's not hurting a single person. I truly believe FDS posters are extremely sheltered and have this unrealistic view of the world just like redpill.

To the extent that these dating advice clubs are explicitly queer-exclusive, they are all the same. These clubs all insist that club members focus their questions and comments on dynamics perceived to be typical, normal, customary, i.e. normative and stereotypical.

These sites rely on stereotypes of men and women, and that inherently excludes all variety of queer people -- even queer-tho-hetero people like sluts and trans. And in their exclusion, there is derision and othering that occurs. But more than queer people, they even exclude people who are just a bit different (eg the constant shaming of people who seek or maintain non monogamous relationships).

So basically if where you go for life/dating advice, if it's not inviting in queer people to talk about how their experiences are different from what is normative and stereotypical, and if people whose lives and values are not typical and traditional are not seen as equally valid role models one might learn from, then don't walk, RUN away from that shit.

Stereotypes are fucking corrosive as fuck. Generalities are OK so long as queer people are encouraged to pop into the conversation to discuss how limiting/limited the stereotypes are and invite people to see things a new way.

Yeah, they're just two sides of the same capitalist, socially conservative logic applied to dating. FDSers each expect a "real high value man" to "protect and provide" for them, while TRPers likewise try to "maximize their return on investment" in the "sexual marketplace."

I once had the great displeasure of interacting with such an FDS-type (22F) at the university I worked at, who repeatedly badgered me (23M) for an affair that she tried to hide from her "higher-value" boyfriend (~33M, 6ft/6 figures, and her boss). I told her I had more integrity than that, but suggested that because he was such a shithead (not only violated university sexual harassment policy, but had a fiancée he was arranged to marry in India) she should break things off with him if she wanted anything to do with me.

As things happened (and perhaps unsurprisingly in retrospect---she's a tall pretty blonde girl, he's a "bobs and vagene" type incel who's too weird to talk to women who might give him a "no"), she convinced him to break it off with the fiancée and go exclusive with her, while using me as some cudgel to control him. The boss/boyfriend was on edge after that: I didn't even talk to other women in the building, because if he saw me and felt threatened, he might have tried to start shit. My last interaction with this girl consisted of her implying she'd date me if/when I was "higher value" career wise. As shitty as this turned out, I'm so glad I did my due diligence: hooking up with her may well have resulted in a false allegation of sexual harassment once I'd served her purpose, the better to cover the "high value" boss's illicit relationship.
