A while after making this post, https://www.reddit.com/r/exredpill/comments/xp3r53/my_struggle/ I tried the therapy offered by my university, like an in-house option. I got a male social worker. Told him most of what's been on mind and really laid it out there. All he did was nod his head and occasionally agree with me. "I understand it's difficult", "I think a lot of people feel that way", stuff like that.

Afterwards I thought, "is that it"? Didn't see him after that. I know it was only the first session, but I don't see the point in just telling someone what I already know and not receiving any kind of new information. If the idea is to get me to think about my own problems more, there's no point since I already think about them. Is he just not qualified enough because he's a social worker? Otherwise I really doubt the whole "get therapy" thing has any substance to it, at least for people like me.
