I dislike any religious people, but I'm mostly exposed to Christians.

I feel like they are worse perverts and misogynists than your average non-religious men, especially when they parade their christianity.

I've recently been chatting with a dude I really liked, he had looks, good career, sense of humour, was very articulate and well spoken. He was nice, but when we started talking over the phone, something felt so performative, couldn't pinpoint it, like he was using a manual or something.

Later, turns out, he is a devoted Christian, church and all, however doesn't mind having sex before marriage. When I brought topic of abortions — something I'm passionate about because I cannot get along with people who think women should be punished for having sex — he was like it's a no-no, except for cases of rape and harm to the mother.

Of course the dude was ghosted and blocked, but not before I explained that his selective religiosity is a huge hypocricy. Like, stay consistent. If abortion is murder, then it's murder in cases of rape as well. If you are a Christian, then be a full Christian, including abstinence before marriage.

But anyway, do you have experience with religious men? Are they all just full blown misogynistic hypocrites who use "faith" as a reason to exploit women?
