So I watch Woman of Impact with Lisa Bilyeu. I also watch and occasionally listen to the male equivalent show with her husband- Impact Theory.

The womens version is always focused on soft skill topics. They have titles like -Stand up for Yourself Once and For All. How to set Boundaries Without Feeling Like a Bitch -Never be Bullied Again. How to Handle Disrespect -How to Be Confident for a Former FBI Agent -Stop Stress in its tracks

Meanwhile the male version hosted by her husband is: -Bitcoin Masterclass -Develop Mental Toughness -How to Start a Business -Monetary Trends -Finance and Investing Masterclass -Get Rich or Die Trying. These Principles of Success are Key to Making It in Life -10 World Class Athletes Teach You How to Think

There is some focus on soft skills but it’s usually as it relates to business or being a general disciplined winner in life.

I enjoy the womens podcast every now and then but the fact that it’s always focused on different variations of standing up for yourself rather than actual tactics to get ahead in life kind of annoys me. It’s true that that is probably more what resonates with and is sought by women and asked for. But it shows me men are focused on moving forward in measurable ways- increasing fitness- mental and physical, raising their net worth etc. While we are still just treading water- How can I say no and mean it? Avoid being taken advantage of? Set boundaries

Just an observation.

In some ways I wish the womens version were more focused on measurable success and less on emotional soft skills. I think it’s one of the ways misogyny has conditioned us to think in a way that’s less forward stretching, aggressive. Why can’t we be focused on building net worth too v how to stand up to our mother in law without offending her or being rude
