Can confirm, am that woman, years of sleep deprivation included. As a result, I have no interest in kids and know my body/mind couldn't cope with it. My youth/energy/health/money was spent on my ex husband who lived like a child on my dime.

Though I never wanted kids anyway. Hoped never to have them even as a child... but the other stuff made it way less physically possible.

I went out with a guy I already knew and he told me he hadn't closed his mind off to more children, then after our first date, he said that he really didn't want any others. So he'd be totally okay with me taking care of his so he can go out and have fun, but would deprive me of having my own. Ugh. No way dude.

Most young men these days seem to be in need of being raised. Or in need of being constantly supervised lest they ruin their own lives over video games, porn addiction, misogyny, misogynist ideologies, pot, addiction to extremist online communities, etc.

In virtually every relationship I see around me, the woman has to do all kinds of emotional labor in order to prevent her boyfriend from ruining his own life.

Or just look at the creepy Jordan-Peterson-phenomenon. There used to be this meme with a neckbeard and on one side of the panel, his mother called out to him to clean his room, and he replied with profanity and aggression. On the other side of the panel, Jordan Peterson called out to clean his room and he tears of joy in his eyes and thanked his savior.

I didn’t live that exact life, but I did believe a man who told me that I was he and his kids family. That lasted as long as he needed my validation and as long as I was able to keep him above water when he was drowning in his anxiety and depression. After I’d held him up and he was able to get on the right meds and right mindset to be healthy mentally and physically, I became nothing to him. And when I felt that, when that feeling made me depressed, and even though I was still strong enough to ask for help, he was done.

He was incapable of showing me a fraction of the support and patience that I’d shown him...and he resented me for having feelings.
