I was messaging a guy on Tinder for the past few days, he seemed quite normal, respectful, no red flags initially. Today I asked him about previous Tinder dates and he said he’d met a girl for coffee, at her house during lockdown 🚩 I asked what happened and he said they were seeing each other for a couple of months “until she turned a bit weird and psycho.” 🚩

I asked him to explain what he meant by ‘weird and psycho’ and he proceeded to tell me that she was at his house one night and started asking a lot about his ex (his child’s mum) and then when she got home that night she messaged him and said she didn’t want to see him anymore.

My response was to explain that it sounded like a mature and very rational action. She had obviously become uncomfortable with the situation and had told him quickly and honestly that it wasn’t for her. She didn’t make outlandish demands that he not speak to his child’s mother, or try to take priority in his life, she just got out of there.

The worst part was he agreed with me and then said “I haven’t let it put me off though”. Oh well as long as that big bad witch didn’t put you off OLD - such strength in your adversity!

I just want women to continue to rally for each other. It’s not okay to be referred to as a psycho or weird or any other labels men put on us when their egos are bruised. I’ve got your back, whoever you are, and I hope someone has done the same for me. Stay classy ladies!
