I was going to say, "Go to HR!" But as a doctor, unless you both work for the hospital, there IS no HR. You do not deserve this; no one deserves to be harassed at work.

This just goes to show that even a man with intelligence, a doctoral degree, and a nice salary can be a LVM. Just be glad you're not his wife, imagine what she must tolerate. Ugh.

When men talk nasty like that, you gotta say something at the very start or they will do it again. I would also file a complaint if he continues after speaking with him, though HR is not always your friend so be careful if they don’t do anything or even get retaliation(illegal but it doesn’t stop everyone from trying)

Ugh. I'm so sorry. Please report him, if he's making comments to you he's probably being a perv with patients. I was sexually harassed by a doctor when I was a patient and for a while it made me avoid getting medical attention. Even now I always request female care providers.

If I could tell all the stories of workplace harassment I’ve received I’d have my own sub. Haha. While I would love for a HVM to be delivered to me, I’m just so grossed out after reading this sub for the last month or so. My sons dad is a narcissist and uses him as a pawn to try to punish me yet he’s hurting him (my son). Without digressing too much I’m just very glad my friend pointed me here cause while I know I deserve better (past traumas have made me a pick-me) but having a boy, I want so bad to make sure he’s never the subject of anyone’s stories like these. My son is always trying to open doors for me or trying to help but you know, he’s a kid so I get frustrated at the speed of things so that’s def something I personally need to work on to make sure I raise him well. Sorry for the word-vomit. Sparked a big feeling in me.

I'm glad you mentioned you are a doctor because it goes to show despite literally having a respected career, despite literally being capable of making life or death decisions, and despite making more money than 99% of men (therefore they know you don't need them)...despite all that they still have the audacity to objectify you. Just goes to show us women can never win. I'm a Healthcare professional too and I deal with this shit allllll the time. One of my coworkers literally made a comment about my ass the other day and won't stop hitting on me IN FRONT of everyone. No shame. no one stops it despite how clearly uncomfortable I am.

Dear HR

I was attending clinic today on this date and my coworker Dr --- said " " about my body and then carried on to doing [x y z.]

I bring this to your attention because I feel that concerns have been raised with me about other areas of his performance but this especially needs to be addressed.

At this stage if he is forthcoming with an immediate apology and is cognizant of the potential for harm here, I will consider this matter some what resolved. If there is further blame or additional information that has come to light over Dr "x" performance I leave this with you to resolve.

I raise this concern because we need to protect our patients from any undue harassment or concerns, should Dr "x" be acting in an unsafe way he needs to be counselled and informed that it is unacceptable to behave in this way in a professional environment. The clinic and staff need to be aware of all professional standards and protocols involving harassment and to not do so opens the hospital/clinic/ shop to legal suits for malpractice.

Do not hesitate to call me on....

I will need a reply to know that this has been noted and handed to management.

I hope some of you male lurkers realize this. I would prefer you just want a world of fairness and peace, one in which half the population doesn’t fear assault when using the streets of the city.
