The last 2 men I have dated have both mentioned that one of the qualities they like about me the most is that I’m “easygoing” and “never complain.” They always follow it up by assuring me it’s a good thing and that I’m “not like other girls” and that they find it refreshing.

I really do have a pretty calm and unbothered demeanor. If I notice red flags on a date, I don’t call them out and instead make a mental note and then block them after the date if applicable. Even if I’m annoyed by what they are saying or doing, I rarely let them see me sweat or think they are successful in upsetting me. The particular man who said it last night on a first date had done several things that eliminated him from future consideration- obviously checking out other women, proclaiming that he’s an alpha male, brought up sex. Now I’m wondering if he said this as a subtle neg that I’m a doormat or will put up with anything.

I’m not considering changing my personality but wondering what you ladies would think about receiving a “compliment” like that?
