She was though. Even before I knew what pickmes were I never understood Tinkerbell. Peter was a little asshole and she’d always get mad at other girls rather than at Peter as she should.

I'm literally reading The Peter Pan Syndrome book. The male author talks about Wendys and Tinkerbells. Wendys are joyless, humorless, mothering types. We should be free spirits like Tinkerbells and then ALL the men will want us 🙄🙄🙄 No nagging, just fulfill his needs, and be ride or die. Don't plan for the future cause there won't be one to worry about. Even in the 80s women were being setup. They know what they're doing.

This is one of the many reasons I fear having kids, even if by some miracle I meet a hvm husband. I would talk about how these "warm childhood classics" are actually problematic (in age appropriate way ofc) and I can only imagine the reaction of the average teacher and kids raised in libfem (at best) homes.

There is so much blatantly sistemically pervasively wrong with the world that it seems like I would have to raise a complicit and almost brainwashed kid in order for them not to be ostracized.

Maybe things are changing, dunno 🤔 this meme is potent af i shit you not, in reaching younger folks and at least planting the seed of questioning things
