I was an introvert when I was younger before I began to force myself to be more outgoing in college. When I was in high school I maybe hung out with friends outside of school once every 2 weeks (school was just too much social interaction for me that it was draining). Though I have become a lot more social, and I am grateful that now I can pretty much find some friend to hang out with at a moment's notice, I am also really thankful that I did spend those years being an introvert lol. Quarantine has actually been extremely enjoyable for me, whereas a lot of other people are really suffering from the lack of going out, dating, or being unable to spend time with their friends, I actually feel pretty relieved to not have that pressure anymore and I can spend that time really understanding myself!

when my mom left my dad he would tell me he was so depressed cause he was alone and he needed to drink because of the loneliness.

when I left my ex he said he was all alone in the house and if he died no one would know for day, so depressed and alone cause of me.

meanwhile i was living alone too but I would work out, cook and listen to music. I never felt lonely at all

I’m 39 and I’ve never been married (by choice) and I rarely, rarely feel lonely. If anything I get more content as I get older. I almost never see a relationship I’m envious of. Mostly other people’s situations just reinforce how glad I am to be alone.

I'm happily single. Every time I was in a relationship, I became angry because the person I was with misrepresented themselves and I felt foolish for believing their lies. I realized I'm happier alone and just being a dog mom, plant mom, and hamster mom lol. Men are just disappointments to me.

So true! How many times have I heard over quarantine "but how do you keep yourself busy, are you not bored by yourself", meanwhile I’ve read so much, picked up new hobbies, started meditation, worked out everyday. I can entertain myself just fine, don’t need someone else!

Still feel lonely, but relationships are such a hassle that I don't find them worthwhile. I'll take the occasional lonely nights wishing there was someone to cuddle with than the emotional and social stress of maintaining a relationship.
